Upgreading BH BB - Tic - 09-19-2008
Well since *cough*everyone*cough* agrees that look of BH BB ain't so bad, iv decided just to update it a bit.
So i need you to tell me what you would like to see changed on that ship, to make it look better and more FLish.
What was changed:
-That ugly thing at front part of the ship repleaced with esthetic Tactical Nuke Launcher(or sumthin like that...)(now textured)
-Enlarged docking port now contains 3 BH bombers and 5 BH "Stuka" LFs
-Bridges lowered and lenghtened
-Ship width and height increased by 15% (except that ugly thing in front)
-Ship lenght increased by 25 %
-Engines enlarged a bit
-Wings placed closer to body
-2 front turret places enlarged
-Textured into mettalic colors(not finished)
-repaired stock bridge
-middle part width increased by 40%

it looks very good - .... you have 20 days to finish and submit it. - so, no pressure!
but really - its very nice... i daresay, it ll be hit by a lot of critizism - when one of the smallest battleships becomes.... smaller.

Mwhahaha. thats the beauty part, when i finish it i will increase it's size by 15-20 percent.
Hmmm... Then ill better be adding those Mantas lateh...

i predict a whole afternoon of fun texturing it... as far as i know - the "beard" is not really covered by the hitbox anyway at the moment or not really much at least. - the ship is balanced towards its size right now. - if you increase its overall size by so much, you must also think of a rebalanced armour value.
but all that should be your concern only AFTER you have submitted it. ( along with the ships name and equipment etc. - thats all stuff you don t need at that time ) - so .... texture it and submit it .. it does look very nice. - resize it to whatever you think is appropriate - and after you are certain about its size - think of rebalanced stats. ...
keep in mind that one characteristic of the BHG ships is that they can fire all their turrets foreward, which is a great blessing compared to some other battleships.

I'd lose the landing bay and the fighters though. That's just me though.
If the BH BS is supposed to be one of the smaller BSes, then it might make more sense for it to lack a landing bay.

Yea BS model stays so i wanna make it look nicer.
Also iv upgreaded a ship a bit more, i increased the width of middle part by about 20-30% so it looks more toob like, i also removed those 2 rocket like thingies on each side, and fused em to the ship. Looks excelent, but ill updated SSs a bit later.

I'd empty the landing bay vto make the whole thing easier. Also, while the model of it looks cool, just having this ships sitting there during combat is wierd.
My issues with carrier concepts in this game continue. Oh how I wish for mobile spawn points and docking with pc BS...
