Was stated elsewhere that when NEGATIVE damage is accrued the ship explodes. So the repair beam is an uber weapon. If you shot a fully whole ship with it, it would explode instantly.

if that negative damage thing is true then it would be abused:
Repair ships taking out Battleships in one shot etc. The ultimate weapon...

Maybe mod it so that a Battery/Nanobot effect is coded when said weapon hits, with no damage on the weapon itself?

Me likes. Ofc, there's the risk of running dry on one ship, since it's constantly taking small damage... so a 0/0 would be better.

I wouldnt say "no way' but the Hamburg City modder is only one I have heard of who did it.
Dockable cap ships are "impossible" too but Tekagi's Treasure got it to work.

if the negative energy thing can be blocked to prevent it from being used as a one shot kill weapon it would be great
