Question about "information" and Corinth Base - Lupusy - 09-22-2008

edit: Thx Zapp!! I didnt know that.... the bar info is fun tho:P

--------------------

Sometime ago I was at Corinth Base in Omicron 74 and I finally managed to navigate the minefield and reach Corinth.

But at the bar in the base, the "information" guy said there was a jumphole to a Tau system "north" of the base in the "oxygen clouds"..

But north of the base there was no jump hole? I kinda poked around to the north all across the system map.

Is there a jump hole there I missed to Tau? (i think he said Tau 13)

I was thinking, maybe the rumour accuracy in Discovery Mod itself was not quite up to date because the map had been altered..?

And final question -- does anyone know where to buy a "Discovery Scanner"? I heard its the best in the game and i wanted to go find one.

Thanks

The bar is a copy/paste of Freeport 10 in Tau 37, I gather. Most Guard base bars are. Pay no mind to their rumors.

Incidentally, the Advanced Cargo Scanner is superior to the Discovery.

Not inside sensor-restrictive clouds. Discovery will see further in those. In normal space, they see the same distance, but Adv. Cargo can scan at longer range. I just use Enhanced. Don't need to be able to scan at 5,000m..

Real players use battleship license scanners.

Real players jettison slaves with radios to go board the ship and see whats inside.

Scanners are for the weak.

I like how you think.

Quote:Scanners are for the weak

make no mistake, this xeno is just bitter that she cannot afford the luxury of a scanner.

This would not be an issue if the xenos were smart enough to do business with junkers, but in their rage against liberty they see fit to deny all logic and reason. That is why they are being wiped out on a daily basis by opponents with better ships, better weaponry, and better training.

Xenos?

What are you rattling on about.
