All routes come to the end

Prologue

Maerto Bertinelli moved back to Omega 58 after he left Cayman. He successfully jumped to Omega 58, and opened Navigation Map. Signal was lost at sector 3B. Maerto set waypoint and order to the board computer to lead on his vessel. Maerto expected to see a hidden station and was building a plan how to get the artifact. He is not Hacker, but used to be known with them while his time as Outcast. Maerto planned to hack the system and dock, and without attention to steal artifact.
But when he totally get to the waypoint his scanners fixed an Unknown Jump Hole. Maerto couldn’t decide what to do, as Artifact is not expensive than his life. At last Maerto decided to do it, not because he so wanted this Artifact. He wanted to do it because of his brother and Leslie. If he would go away then they contribution would turn into nothing.
Maerto ordered to the computer to proceed through the hole. Jumping engine charged and Maerto’s ship entered the Hole. While jumping Maerto saw something different, strange flashing around his ship. After what his eyes blurred and he could hear lot of voices in his head. And totally he lost consciousness.

Maerto woke up in his cabin. He noticed that seat belt fell off, board computers switching off seat belts while vessel docked on the station. Maerto couldn’t see anything through his windshield as there was so dark. He prepared his gun and went to the exit. After the door opened Maerto proceed. On the first view there wasn’t anyone on the deck, but when Maerto attentively looked into the darkness he could see people’s black skins with luminous purple eyes. He was encircled from all sides. One tried to get closer, Maerto made one shot. Person fell on the floor, and Maerto get to him and was prepared to make another one shot but something abruptly jumped on him. He saw a tentacle and tried to shoot it but missed after what he hear terrible noise in his head which turned him off.

Maerto opened his eyes and saw someone with medical uniform speaking to him: “It’s your new home. Now you are more than others…”. Bertinelli wasn’t understanding what he’s talking about and saw a knife on the table near him. He took it and wanted to hit doctor but his hand started trembling and knife fell on the floor after what he stopped feeling his legs and all around turned into purple. After he hear the doctor’s voice talking to him: “Welcome...”

...new life"
Already a month passed since Bertinelli was attracted to Rockhome. His Lich lot of times have been seen around Omegas and Omicrons, and sometimes he could bring it to Rheinland. He's operating everywhere under Reapers' flag, and only when someone, not invited, showed up at the Rockhome, Maerto shows his real face. And lately same incident happened to him, Maerto even didn't know that his Lich was recording everything and automatically sent it to Safe Haven.

The Lich's recording system did not recorded the Mindshare, but it have got all other stuff. And whoever would recieve it, he or she will consider the recorded events very odd. It might be Bertinelli's problem, but so far... Nothing happened to him, yet...

"Shadows of the Past...
...still flashing around"

It's been a year since the Reapers of Sirius, organization which Bertinelli used to be apart of, vanished without any signs of footprints. Early 823, the rumors around Omegas about the Reapers were getting stronger with ever day passing through. Bertinelli have even met the one of known reapers - Valente Rossi of the Epigoni Squadron.
