I always enjoyed Gallileo.
Get on a Rogue, kill NPCs, take cargo, sell them at Toplita base in Cassini which is one jump away.

Tau-29 is pretty swell. Kill Kusari and Gallic things, sell on the Freeport.

In that case, hanging around the jumpgates inside house space is your best bet.
Take advantage that the best salepoint is in the same system as you are. Just remember to write down which items are worth picking up.

Keep away from planets. There wont be any good NPC spawns there. You will get a good haul if you are between lanes that are generally not in capital systems/near planets. Tau 29, Kyushu (to some extent), Kepler, Cortez gate in California are great places to start off.
