Disconnecting from server once I undock - Doober - 12-24-2014
Hi, I haven't played Discovery in a couple years, but I got the itch to play a space game again, so I installed Freelancer and then the latest Discovery Mod. There seems to be a ton of really cool stuff, I could tell just by the new ships that I could buy at Planet Erie. I messed around at the planet for awhile and then launched. When I was at the planet, I could check my rep and everything, but as soon as I launch, my rep was blanked out and shortly thereafter I got a message saying that I was disconnected from the server. I tried getting on several more times and each time it would say that. I then tried on several other servers and I had the same issue. I ended up reinstalling the game from scratch, but still am having the same problem. I had my anti-virus disconnected throughout the whole thing because I saw in advance that that can be an issue, so I know it isn't that. Has anyone else run into this issue? I ran pingplotter and it said that I am not having any connectivity problems, but I can't think for the life of me what could be consistently booting me from every server at launch. While I was at the planet, I would get messages about other players getting killed and whatnot, so there must have been some connectivity there before I launched. I did start my own server and could play on that without any problems, but that gets rather boring with no one else to interact with.
Any ideas? I remember having a lot of fun with this game years ago.

Try disabling 3d audio. I had the same problem and that seemed to fix it.
