5:00 am, and the room buzzed vibrantly came to life. The ambient lights came on, the heater kicked itself into life to bring the room up to a more comfortable day-time temperature, a deep-blue fishtank embedded in the wall began to glow from the interior lights flashing to life, and the window blinds facing the bright Pennsylvania primary star were opened to allow shafts of light to beam in. In the center of the black-tiled room, a bed with white sheets stood elevated from the floor by its posts. It's lone inhabitant, a young girl still blinking sleep out of her eyes and averting her gaze from the harsh light the window let in sat up in her spot, and began sluggishly working her way out of the covers and towards the bathroom. The shower began to hiss to life, and it was not long after that the mirror that Lily had been standing in front of began to cloud. She reached out behind her and closed the door. All the while the large monitor on the wall in the bedroom displayed the News.

" It has been 3 years since the Cambridge University instructor, Professor Winston Childs went missing in downtown Central Cambridge. Childs, considered a genius by most, was at the cutting edge of his research into AI programming and Robotics when he was reported missing. Police have investigated his home and campus-based hangar but: ' found nothing out of the ordinary. The old man was known for being a messy worker.' One of his students claimed that; 'despite everything being a mess, it all looked about normal down there.' and went on to say that; '[Childs] has gone off the radar before, it's just never been like this or he's at least told someone he was gonna be away for a while to visit either family or for vacation'

The last person to see Childs was esteemed colleague of the Professor, Dr. Evan Woods; who claimed 'there was next to nothing out of the ordinary' and that ' [he] simply just vanished.' After a lengthy investigation, nobody could trace the Professor's whereabouts, and after about 6 months of no new leads, the case was shelved.

Recently however, new evidence in the case has come up, as a number of old hard-drives were located at the Professor's home during the Police investigation. The drives were found to be heavily encrypted, and were only cracked into about 2 weeks ago, unveiling a host of new evidence, including the location and payment records of a separate laboratory on New London that the Professor had bought and funded under the assumed name, Morgan Whitaker.

The Lab was raided yesterday at 11:27 PM local time, and was found to contain only more of the Professor's machinery and a large battery of advanced computers. Professor Childs was nowhere to be found, but the head of the investigation BPA Captain Daryl Anderson had this to say:

Anderson: ' [the lab] gave us investigators a lot to scratch our heads over-- Uhm, were likely gonna be processing this evidence for quite a while, but hopefully it can shed some light on the case.'

Reporter: 'What can you tell us about what was found in the Lab?'

Anderson: ' all kinds'a stuff Cheryl, uhh.. -- lots of half-assembled robots, a large server cluster-- [behind the building] was a shipping container.. uhh, inside it we found several spare parts and some schematics for a Clydesdale-freighter.. uhh, one of the older models--

We got a ship ID number from one of the neighbors but it didn't come up with anything. -- whatever the Professor had goin' on here, he didn't want people to know about, or tie to him--'

The Bathroom door was flung back open, Lily walking out half-dressed in her Lab-attire and a toothbrush still lodged in her mouth as the last of the steam from the shower was let out of the bathroom. She crossed the room, turning a dial on the wall as she walked which caused the blinds to re-close and the lights to dim again, and approached the closet. Rifling through a series of stained Lab coats and other assorted clothing, she finally found a coat that could be considered passable, donning it and grabbing her ID badge off the wooden table by the main door before walking out, the automated locks sealing the room as Lily McCloud walked down the 3rd deck apartment block of Bethlehem station.
