I'm gonna slip an Idea to the Bretonia and Kusari forces, and it concerns light arms.

It can be quite annoying when you've got light arms on board not for the purpose of trade but for RP and because it is concidered contraband in these two houses it can be a bit of a bubble buster for you as a trader.

For example,

Sirius has lots of pirates
Pirates like money
Traders have money
(RP) Pirates may board large trading frieghters to find money
Pirates point guns at Traders

Ending one (Light arms confiscated)

Bang!

Ending two (Light arms not confiscated)

Traders have a fighting chance of killing nasty pirates

So you see it really does make sense to have light arms on board for these kind of RP reasons

So I suggest that Bretonia/Kusari either

#1 Lift the light arms ban (very unlikley)
#2 Set a light arms restriction to a certain a certain number of light arms
#3 Set a light arms restrictin to 1 light arm per crew member

Think about it;)

I'd honestly say that if you pick a reasonable (small) number, you shouldn't run into any issues; ALS)Cerulean, my Bretonian trader, carries six - one for each crew member and one for the captain. Never once been questioned about them.

Though it does help that I almost never even go into Leeds on that character...

You'd only need one wouldn't you? I've always thought each Light Arm, was a crate full of side arms. After all it wouldn't be very effective if you had a masssive transport, but you only held on revolver per crate.

With the Bretonian laws, there is a five until law for Cardimine. I suppose it would work the same way for other legal 'contraband'?

The cardmine rule doesn't apply to other contraband (generally) . My BPA char doesn't stop any one for carrying 1 light arms if no ship crew. If there is ship crew the amount of ship crew dictates many light arms. The exception is the 50000 crew 50000 light arms (small army).

Why not? Light arms might be used for various rp reasons.

What part are you saying why not to the excessive amount of light arms or the general rule on them.

I think the difference here is having a gun on your person for self defense, and having a full cargo crate of rifles.... 1 cargo unit is a substantial amount of cargo, as far as I know. especially as a passenger travels in the same amount of space taken up by a single cargo unit.

Its the same idea with ship crew

One ship crew member = 1 cargo unit/crate

I spose thats a better way to put it then, crates not individual objects.

Its not like your gonna carry on atom of oxygen is it:crazy:

Huh... I've never been stopped for carrying light arms, regardless of the house i'm flying through. Light arms are a legal commodity, depending on where you're taking them, and as a smuggler you can always lie =P

It's illeagal to take Light arms into the Tau's from Bretonia and their just illeagal alltogether in Kusari

The Bretonias one is in the Sirius Legal Codex

But I fail to remember where the Kusari put their own one:dry:
