Pirate ID update - Arioch - 02-09-2015 Uncle Finn here, yet again. You missed me, didn't you - So we've taken a look at the feedback concerning the Pirate ID, and feel some further changes should be added to the ID. Specifically, howe they deal with transports and freighters, as well as actions outside of House space, as listed in the rules section. Moving forward, here is what the new Pirate ID will look like: Quote:Pirate ID Happy pirating! RE: Pirate ID update - Gypsie Skripto - 02-09-2015 I don't agree with the fluff text. Why independent pirates? And why the line talking about acting for own benefit? It adds nothing and limits RP. I was going to post my new faction write up tonight for which I chose the pirate ID and its a faction that basically steals from the rich to give to the ones in need, the poor, the weak and also those politically close to us. This doesn't match this fluff text. RE: Pirate ID update - Deeceem - 02-10-2015 Better than before, I guess. Is that now final for a while or are there changes to be expected yet in the near future? Because honestly it kinda starts to get irritating trying to start something with the pirate ID, when it constantly experiences changes like that. @Gypsie: Just ignore the description and go with what your group/faction lore/background is. ![]() ![]() RE: Pirate ID update - Garrett Jax - 02-10-2015 The fluff text is the same as it has always been. Why are you complaining about it now? RE: Pirate ID update - Garrett Jax - 02-10-2015 (02-10-2015, 12:11 AM)Deeceem Wrote: Better than before, I guess. Considering it adds more flexiblity to the Pirate, I'm not sure what you are complaining about either. We can go back to the original nerf if you don't like change. Because honestly it kinda starts to get irritating trying to start something with the pirate ID, when it constantly experiences changes like that. I didn't mean to complain at all. I stated it was better than before. Just the general fact that the ID changed quite a bit over the last months made me ask the question if this change can be considered as a more permanent change as the prior one, so people can plan with the new rules on it. And my answer to Gypsie was basically saying the same as you just did. The description text doesn't really matter and I certainly did not complain about it either. To be more straight "Kudos, Admins! Better than before. Thanks!" ![]() RE: Pirate ID update - Tunicle - 02-10-2015 This will be the planned version unless the wisdom of the community brings up points currently not thought of that would necessitate a change. RE: Pirate ID update - Corile - 02-10-2015 Quote:- Cannot use any transports with more than 3,600 cargo. These two lines contradict themselves. RE: Pirate ID update - Sanctions - 02-10-2015 > - Can defend itself Since when do pirates have no soul? Guess it's a typo. > - Can demand Credits or Cargo from Freighters, Transports and Liners in House space and attack them if they do not comply Even though snubs/GBs may not contain much of cargo, a pirate still can be interested in demanding it (as well as credits), be it fertiilizers (which are needed for his grandma's Zen garden) or a handful of ancient alien artifacts. His reasons are his reasons. So why wouldn't said pirate rob any snub around? Why castrating the ID even more? Like snub has less chances to survive than a transport. Like GB is easy to destroy either? > - Can pirate any ships outside of House Space (Bold and Italic) and attack them if they do not comply Different zones affecting pirate's appetites seems a bit weird. Especially since the biggest sums usually flow through capitals. Alright, they will try luring navies outside and then rob their whole fleet ftw.
