Greetings, ladies and gentlemen of the LPI.
My name is John Armada, I am a Private to the Liberty Navy, 2nd. Fleet.
The reason and purpose of this message here is to complain about the lacking presence and in some cases, the lacking motivation of some Officers within the ranks of the LPI. Due to the high activity of criminal organizations, factions and groups within Liberty Space, it is a -must- for the LPI to show active presence and fulfill the given task and duty. Members of the 2nd. Fleet within Liberty Police, or whatever you may call those who haven't applied to join the LPI, or have been denied, actually show more presence, but many of them lack the skills needed to survive in a combat, or they are rookies. The Liberty Navy already got enough to do defending two frontlines, aiding Bretonia and holding off the Rheinland Forces, we cannot invest any more firepower into protecting Liberty Space from within.
I'm writing this in consequence of several experiences where the LPI's aid would actually have shown positive effect and ensured survival of both Liberty Forces and Civilians to be protected. I've been called for aid by a civilian today at 19:20 SMT+1 ((GMT+1)), close to the California Gate in New York System. Two pirates with Freelancer IDs were attacking him, and I came to aid him, with two other Liberty Navy Officers, unfortunately those were capital ships and therefore not as helpful as needed. Most of the time the two hostile pilots were focusing upon me and inflicting heavy damage on my ship. Several minutes later three Rogue VHFs joined the battle, I had no chance and had to eject my rescue pod. The other Liberty Navy ships were destroyed a few minutes later.
Also, another time, I've been calling two LPI officers, their names won't be stated here, to help me in patrolling around Texas System, since there have been several criminals readings. The only answer I got was, and I recite now: "Nah, we don't really like that System, you go there and check it, if you think there's trouble.". This behavior is unacceptable, especially in times like these, duty should be taken seriously. Discipline and responsibility are demanded features, nothing less should be expected.
I hope you will consider about what I've been stating within this message. If anyone asks why Liberty is about to drown within crime and war, it is simply because of that I've been mentioning above. We should not allow corruption and crime to reach that far, after all we promised to protect the civilians and inhabitants of and within Liberty.
