mission objectives are never at the mission waypoint - sleekism - 02-27-2015
hello iv been looking around everywhere and cant find anything about this, i have no idea why but i have played on the RP24/7 server (the only one with lots of players on it) and can never complete any missions picked up at the local bar. so bassically i fly to the mission waypoint (to blow up the enemy station, or to destroy the liberty rogue ships attacking merchants or whatever mission i try) and theres never anything there, like the mission doesnt get triggered by my presence there. it seems i am the only one who encounters this cos everyone i try to talk to in chat ignores me or tells me to keep looking. i even tried flying through the second objective waypoint (which seems to me like it should really be the first) and nothing changed at all. anyway help would be good as i want to progress but cant because being a freighter in the tiny starting ship doesnt appeal to me.

Missions worked fine in 4.87, but got broken somehow in 4.88 on the official/GC server. Since missions do work on at least one of the other 4.88 servers, it is only a matter of time before missions are fixed on the official/GC server.
Meanwhile, use the Beginner restart to get a Sunburst freighter (or simply buy it at Planet Erie for less than $32k), then make your early money by mining helium behind Planet Erie. Check out the tutorials for beginning players.

would be nice if the Launcher had such option, like small log that shows what still needs to be fixed, like the Mission Bug - Please be patient.
