CD spamming = Engagement? - nOmnomnOm - 03-22-2015

So lets see if we can clarify this.

If you are a freelancer and you see a pirate pirating a trader and you CD spam the pirate, asking the trader if he will pay to have the rogue removed, and the trader is a silent trader + the freelancer has no bounty on the pirate....

Is the CD spamming as the trader flees and the FL keeps harassing considered an engagement? If yes, is it considered an engagement that the freelancer interrupted an RP interaction by spamming his own CDs without getting payed from the trader to help in the first place wrong too?

Yeah i'd love to know. I have read on the forums recently that it is an engagement when you CD spam.
Apparently some people don't know that yet and just assume they can log and CD harass someone and it wont be an engagement.

Hello John.
Firing two CDs is not a CD spam.
Please don't get salty that you didn't get that Hegemon.
Thanks :*

1) 5 CDs
until i told you to stop with it

2) you have no right to enter into the engagement like you did and let him get away with no profit towards yourself.

im not being salty that you dont know engagement rules

Quote:3.1 An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%.
And your cruise was disrupted successfully twice so as to give him time to respond if he wants to give me the 1 million for killing you, then I let you get away. If he actually paid that 1 million you'd be dead.

Take a seat son.

i also remember this discussion coming up a while ago and am sure that excessive CD spam can be considered an attack in regards to self-defence.

but you'd need a green to yay or nay it for the record.

No. It's not.

Look, you're a Pirate. Navy comes and CDs you. Following the Pirate ID rules you can't open fire upon Navy player until he/she does it first. You know that while that Navy is CDing you, the reinforcement is coming for you, you want to open fire but you can't. If you open fire because that Navy kept disrupting you and the Navy reports you for violating an ID rule, how will you prove that the Navy was "spamming" CDs?

You can't shoot someone for CDing you once or twice, so logically you can't prove that the player CDed you 20-25 times if he says that he did it only 3-4 times.

P.S Well... would also like to have CD spamming=Engagement, but Admins explained it and I think they're totally right in this matter.

this is gonna be totally taken as trial by forum started by you. And this is totally luring.

1) you cd more than 2 times
2) you 'let' me get away because i told you your mistake
3) you still don't see your wrong and you have no right to participate in that engagement under a freelancer ID unless payed

You acted with no bounty on me.

It is you that needs to take a seat and stop lieing and using this thread that was ment to be not pointing any figures .

First you tell me to report you and try to lure me to threaten you with a sanction and now this.

How about you control yourself.

wow. Just wow. Stop.
Completely a different matter here. This is not navy vs pirate id

i think its not an engagement, unless its that 225 dmg cd.

RE: CD spamming = Engagement? - Jack_Henderson - 03-23-2015

I don't understand the situation fully, but if a player goes into an interaction that I have with another player, and he influences this interaction negatively, I have a reason to act against him. So sure. Say: "So you help that guy, huh?"
"One more CD and you go down, son" and afterwards "okay. That was your CD. Die", then shoot him.

Someone who helps your target get away is fair game. Just give proper rp foreplay.
