Samura Heavy Industries - kevin - 10-04-2008 Delete. Samura Heavy Industries - kevin - 10-04-2008 So, what does everybody think on the current chassis of this faction? Samura Heavy Industries - Orin - 10-04-2008 The Farmer's Alliance are your underhanded puppets. They would most definitely be at least friendly. Also, the Stinger is sold on a Samura base, but it's by no means a Samura ship. The placement of it on Kurile is a bit strange, so I would either limit the ship's usage to high ups, or lose it. Hope to RP with you guys soon, with our GMG up and running. Samura Heavy Industries - kevin - 10-04-2008 updated - please refresh before posting! The Stinger is a civilian class vessel, that is why i put it up here. Samura Heavy Industries - Orin - 10-04-2008 It is indeed civilian classed, but then again, so is the Tiger Shark. Will you use that? The fact is, the Stinger is developed by the GMG and IMG. The GMG is cutting ties to Samura in their RP, since they are encroaching on their domain and attempting to outsource them by actions in Hokkaido. I don't think the Guild would appreciate Samura flying their ships. Now, that said, the GMG had an alliance with Samura for necessity, so there very well may be a few kindly contributions of the Stinger to Samura in the past. That's why I think you should limit it. Because in RP from now on, the Stinger wouldn't be a ship Samura would fly, as they don't produce it, and have strained a relationship towards the GMG. Samura Heavy Industries - kevin - 10-04-2008 Point observed, and noted, I'll change it to a limited number, perhaps just vessels we use for Ace's. Samura Heavy Industries - kevin - 10-04-2008 Complete Reconstruction Edited and confirmed. a Basic Introduction and the chassis for the Samura faction is now in order. Samura Heavy Industries - Zelot - 10-05-2008 Orin, are you going to limit the GMG from using the C-trans and the Big Dragon becuase they are Samura ships? I think it is ok, especally when you take into account that it is not ONLY a GMG ship, it was also developed by IMG who have good relations with Samura. edit: Sorry if that came off like i dont think you should use those ships, I do. I just think there should be a certian amount of latitude with both of these factions for using ships developed by the other. Samura Heavy Industries - kevin - 10-05-2008 Deleted - Sounded stupid on my end. Samura Heavy Industries - Tenacity - 10-05-2008 As far as I know, samura manufactures every ship used by kusari - the wyrm, drake, dragon, chimera, catamaran bomber, kusari gunboat, kusari destroyer, kusari battleship, kusari cruise liner, and kusari 'big dragon' transport. Those should be your primary ships. I would not use anything larger than a gunboat military-wise (no destroyers or battleships) unless you simply choose one destroyer (and only one) for your company flagship - reason being the kusari naval forces probably dont want unaccounted for battleships flying around taking orders from no one. Most of your escort pilots should be flying drakes, dragons, and catamaran bombers, while the big dragon transport should be your primary trade vessel. It may not have as much cargo space as an adv. train, but in-RP it's a much better ship to use. When help is needed, you can go to the KNF, KSP, hogosha, or farmer's alliance - all of them are allies. Kishiro is a business enemy, meaning they're a competitor against your company's profit. While Samura handles all major construction and mining in kusari space, Kishiro has had to switch to handling more technical development (superconductors, optical chips, antimatter research, etc.) in order to stay in business. You should have a competetive attitude towards kishiro, but you are not hostile to them (no combat between the two). The GMG are also competitors - right now the GMG control all h-fuel trade in Sirius, in all four houses. However, Samura is trying to get gas mining operations set up in hokkaido to compete with the GMG. Once agian, it's a corporate war, not a military war - there shouldnt be active combat going on between the factions, but you should always be trying to undermine and sabotage the other guy behind the scenes. Any hostile action that takes place between samura/kishiro/GMG will be done via allies - like the hogosha, blood dragons, GC, and farmer's alliance. Hope that info helps. |
