Bribing Lawfulls? - Shalo - 04-01-2015

I was wondering, i guess in teory if i am smuggling or doing something ilegal and a Police ID'ed ship or the army found me doing it i could bribe them. And it got me thinking, is it possible for such thing to happen in Discovery? Or will all players refuse the bribe and increase my fine?

LPI is (at least used to be) known to accept bribes. You offer them a sum of cash, and they turn their back to whatever sketchy business you've been doing.

It exists, some players accepts bribes. There's nothing against it.

I wonder is it allowed to say as an LPI- you will accept your bribe but then double cross and turn the guy in anyway right after?
That is quite cruel... but is it allowed?

Would be hard to explain where the money came from if the criminal rats you out.

I think it would be prohibited, just as pirates can't destroy transports they have just pirated.

You should keep in mind that even if some would accept the bribe others wouldn't like it and may increase your fine. Test the waters first Tongue

You dont understand...

pirate gives bribe to cop and cop accepts it
can cop still pretend to accept it since he is greedy and then be like NOPE still arresting you. ?

Well, many police characters ask to surrender the contraband a pay a fine. After that, they let the offender go, keep the money, and never report the occurrence so that a criminal record is established.

You could say, paying the fine amounts as a quick bribe. Most of the times.

What do you mean "test the waters"?
