Encounter with pirate cruiser - Arron_Smith - 07-13-2006
Arron pulled upwards as the other Wrath fighter gunned at the hostile cruiser. The enemy had jumped right into the middle of the Frankfurt system, upon scanning cargo Arron had asked the captain to cut power to his engines for a closer look.
The cruisers CO activated his ships sheilds and identified itself as the pirate cruiser Hathor_(Cruiser).
Upon this they opened fire, destroying two Rheinland Wrath fighters as well as a number of civilian transports around Mainz storage. The fighter wing opened fire with torps, directly aimed at the ships lower hull.
Arron smiled as the flashes of plasma blue made contact with the hostile cruiser, however in that process one more Rheinland heavy fighter was taken out.
Knowing full well that this was a battle they could not win, Arron withdrew with the remaining Rheinland team. The enemy cruiser departed via the tradelane.
Cursing himself for not being able to do more, he proceeded to the New Berlin system to file a report. It was clear more and more people were taking advantage of Rheinland's lapse in patrols.
With only a fighter to defend his nations borders, there was only so much Arron could do...
