Remove Show Joining and Leaving Players - nOmnomnOm - 04-17-2015
Basically the title.
If we cannot Meta and the only acceptable way to find people is through the chat window then don't make it even more easier by having notices of joining and leaving players.
It just makes it even more ridiculously easy to know without trying who is on. At least have it so that we have to ourselves look in the chat.

It's disabled by default through the launcher. Just don't turn it on, obviously.

Like a trader can have life even more easier when he knows pirates are logging on and he doesnt even have to check.

In that case, you might as well bask in your moral superiority and leave other people to it. Different strokes for different sorts and all. I've got new players turned on, because I prefer that to periodically typing /fm Bowex, or dry humping the player list. I'd rather have the option, than none at all.

I totally agree with the OP, I kind of couldn't believe it was ever added to the launcher. For servers with low population, like avg of 10 or under, maybe its useful. I don't play with it on and would love for it to be removed, since it makes it all too easy to avoid other players, and is not necessary to find friends online. People are already using the list, I think that is enough.

I agree with the OP as The Player list has been helping the Whalers attack OSI ships since the moment an OSI ship logs on, a Whaler logs on mere seconds later.

What he said. Once I turned it on, I turned it off in the first 30 minutes, because this thing became more than annoying. Never again, ugh.
