POB: commodity eat rates - Black Widow - 05-27-2015

Can we please increase them as it takes forever to wait for a base to consume commodities during construction?

Current Rate: 200 Units / 10 seconds........

Not really if the eat rate is 200 units / 10 secs = 20 units / sec and say the total amount commodities required to make a light cloak is 56,000 units that means it will take the base 46.7 mins to complete 1 snub cloak if there was a continuous supply of materials in the base. If we then factor in time taken to haul commodities to the base, means it would take well over an hour to make 1 cloak.

Thats very boring....

1 hour to make the cloak from scratch isn't a long time, especially considering you are doing stuff in that time, like fetching more supplies (in which you have to wait 4.2 mins between each load to drop stuff off (assuming your base is completely full).

I thought you were fed up of waiting those 4.2 mins between deliveries to your base, not that you couldn't occupy your mind with something else for 46.7 mins after pre-loading your base full of commodities when the construction process starts.

Bases taking awhile to eat resources is a nice balance decision. It keeps people from pumping out commodities like popcorn in a microwave.
