A relatively young man standing approximately six foot stares up in to the New London sky seeing the Clydesdale Freighter which brought him from California Minor lifting off from the New London Spaceport docking pad D. Turning he lifted his space sack which contained all his belongings. He pulled out a small folded flyer 'Bretonia wants you join your house's army' Surveying the bottom of the flyer he headed to the specified location.
After waiting in a long line he moved to an empty desk with a middle aged gentlemen sitting with a pen in his right hand writing something on a pile of papers. After a short while he asked 'Name?'
'William Howard' The man replied.
'Planet of origin?' The recruitment officer enquired.
'Planet New London' William Howard replied.
'Age?' The recruitment officer asked.
'23' William Howard replied.
'How would you rate your fighter piloting skills out of 10' The recruitment officer asked.
'Hmm' Pausing for a brief moment then William continued '4-5 out of 10, not a great pilot but not exceptionally bad either.'
'Right', he paused to write something down then asked 'Finally why do you want to join the Bretonian Armed Forces.'
'Sir, I wish to fight for Bretonia to drive off all those who seek her destruction, I will hope to do my part to bring the fight to that rat hole Jien Kogen call a palace. I swear to you that Kusari will regret picking a fight with Bretonia, and make him wish that... that filthy vermin Kogen kept his little fist inside a pocket rather then waving it about the place. For too long they have stood and pushed us around we need to start to push back all these filth and avenge all those who have already fallen civilian and military alike.'
'Hmm right thank you we will be in touch' the recruitment officer replied to the previous outburst from William who simply nodded in reply and proceeded out the building.

Bretonian Armed Forces, High Command,
I, Garry Heath, am requesting an oppertunity to fight among the men and women who protect our worlds from the likes of Kusari and other scum. I was born in 798 AS and raised in Stokes Mining Facility and was a resident there for many years as my family where BMM workers, in about 710 AS, we moved onto Planet Leeds because of the upcoming talks of war with Kusari. We moved there and I have been a resident ever since. I am currenty as you may have guessed 20 years of age. My height is 5ft8, rather small, but it makes me perfect height for piloting craft such as Templars.
I have no relatives and have had no relatives in the BAF, so I am hoping to be the first. The real reason I want to join is because of an oppertunity. An oppertunity to meet new people, to assist in the war with Kusari and to help Bretonia prosper, survive and live on for as long as I have breath in my soul, Bretonia will not falter!
My current fliht experinces consist of : Being an escort for BMM (Flying everything from a Hawk to Eagle), Being a crew member of various BMM trading ships, Flying cavaliers, crusaders and paladins on escort and assist operations (was a member of the reserves up until recently, I left due to too many deaths in the family...)
I hope to put the past behind me, so I may begin a new career and new life in the BAF.

"I would like to re-enlist."
A tall, fit-looking man spoke these words to one of the clerks standing at the front desk of the large recruitment station. He was wearing a well-adjusted suit, with three medals pinned on his right breast. The clerk, a junior female officer, answered promptly.
"Certainly. I will need your name, age, former rank, former service branch and a copy of your service records, on paper or through a Neural-Net file please."
"Wilhelm Deneth Aleski, 30, Admiral. Commanding Officer of the former 11th Fleet based at HMS-Grimsby, Director of the Armed Forces Special Research Projects based at BAF Sunderland. Here is a paper-copy of my record. References are also included."
The junior officer stood there, dumbfounded and stunned. She took the handful of pages that made up Aleski's service record and skimmed through it nervously. She looked back at the man, who simply stood there, eyes fixed to her own eyes, grinning ever so slightly.
"Uh... R-right Mr. Aleski... I-I mean sir... I'll forward your application to the proper instances, we'll contact you shortly. Very shortly."
"Thank you, ma'am. Have a wonderful day."
He briskly walked out of the building.

Just as the last clerk was walking toward the door to shut the office down, a young man stepped through the door, soaked by the rain.
"Sorry sir, am I too late?" he asked.
The clerk took a quick peek out the window and checked his watch.
-"No lad, there's still time. Come and sit down"
The clerk went straight for his desk and the young man slowly followed behind. As they sat down, the first question instantly followed.
"Name?"
-"Jeff Bloom, sir. I am a pilot in the secondary fleet of Bretonia s..."
As the clerk was still writing, he waved his hand.
"One thing at a time pilot. Let me grab your record, i'll return shortly"
The clerk stepped away from the desk to the nearby neural net terminal and looked up the file. After 2 minutes he returned to the desk with a few sheets of paper.
"So let's see. Jeff Bloom, born out of Cambridge, age 24, eldest of 5, past flying experiences in secondary fleet, stationed at Battleship Derby, Leeds. I trust that this information is still accurate?"
-"Yes, sir"
"Well your record seems fine pilot. What is it you wish to apply for?"
-"I would like to apply for the primary fleet sir. Flying with the primary fleet has always impressed me and I would very much like to become one of them. I feel like i'm not doing enough to stop the Kusari. Recently I lost a friend, he was shot down near Stokes and there was nothing I could do to save him. This event has made my resolve stronger sir, I just want to matter that's all."
After a brief pause the clerk replied
"Very well pilot, I will forward these documents as soon as I can. We will contact you at the proper time"
-"Thank you sir"
"If you would sign here and here, please?"
After signing the documents the young man stood up, shook the clerks hand and walked out into the rain again.
