New forum formatting features - Alley - 06-07-2015

A new method for handling spoilers has been added, along with the long requested percentage indents. I'll keep this thread around and update the OP with new features when I get around them.

Blurred spoilers

Oi: Allay- blur this: next time, Ixnay on the non-inglay as per forum rules, eh?
(Seriouslay though, okay?)

Percentage indents
Do not use negative values. You will be banned for that.

What happens when you use negative values?

You get divided by zero.

Actually I'd imagine it just tries to indent it the other way, forum style is broken, everyone dies, universe explodes.

It puts the text outside the post area, like this.
[pi amount=-5]really annoying[/pi]

So really, please don't do it. The last thing we need is the forums to become a gigantic mess and I would be pretty upset to have to remove this feature because of people doing this.

Well this is awesome, thanks Alley

RE: New forum formatting features - Corile - 06-07-2015

Because some people are confuzzled, here's an explanation what percentage indents are and why they're awesome.

5% indent
10% indent
15% indent

One absolute indent
Two absolute indents
Three absolute indents

Now, scale your browser window and observe what happens to the text above.

Code:
[pi amount=5]5% indent[/pi]
[pi amount=30]30% indent[/pi]
[pi amount=50]50% indent[/pi]

[indent]One absolute indent
[indent]Two absolute indents
[indent]Three absolute indents[/indent][/indent][/indent]

RE: New forum formatting features - Thyrzul - 06-07-2015

Scaling window doesn't change anything in indents for me, "zooming" in and out with Ctrl + MWheel Up and Down however did indeed show the difference between how absolute and relative indents work.
