Civilian Siege Platform - Pavel - 06-08-2015
Option 1: Give Bustard heavy battleship slots. Two of them, swap the two existing cruiser slots for heavy BS ones, so it can mount battleship cerbs and be poor man's siege platform. The arcs are already bad so I really doubt it could be actually used in pvp.
That way everybody can besiege bases (if he gaters enough players, that's it)
Option 2: New "special" ship available for everyone with some BS cerbs. Remodelled battletransport with a couple of heavy BS slots. Available for everyone like Bustard is.

Good lord, that would be hilarious! Although if that did happen, I can also foresee all Houses ejecting them in 5 seconds flat and rendering them illegal. Which would defeat the point somewhat.

I don't know would they be outright banned - maybe only BS cerb possession. Probably some harsher restrictions could be introduced though, of course.

I'd rather it get a better shield so it would have better survivability and actually somewhat do what it is meant to do and act as a carrier. It isn't a civilian siege engine, I'd honestly be ok with it losing the cruiser turrets for better defense somewhat personally.

The main reason Liberty didn't ban them is that they can't siege bases.

forget pointlessly more powerful guns, give it a cruiser shield for ship's sake. no point with BS slots if it gets flattened really fast.

I'd personally prefer it being gunless with Battelship shields but thats just me =P

Not only you. I like your idea, Bustard withno guns and equiped with BS shield would be nice. However BS's shield on civilian ship? Well, you know, those toys are kinda expensive inRP and shouldn't be avaible for everyone.

About Civ. Si. Pla.: I'm against it. Giving caps for civilians is a bad idea. It's even worse than giving caps to Zoners. But it's only my opinion. Capital ships shouldn't be avaible for everyone, they're expensive and difficult to build toys.

I'd surely trade 5 gunboat turrets for two cruiser turrets, when it comes to Covro. But all in all, I love that ship. Price equals the fun.
Corvo is just first true-born frigate - and a very flexible ship, next to the cheaper Pelican.
As for Bustard, I agree. Carriers are the backbone and the weakest spot of all fleets. On the other hand, BS guns are usually available only in the most restricted areas, so I see nothing wrong in allowing Bustard having exchangeable one BS/CR slot.
