Civilian Ships Powercore - Stefan_Steinar - 06-10-2015

hey guys

i got a something i'd love to see fixed or hear why it's the way it is as i believe it's wrong

all civilian ships can be used by generic ID's with 100% core
but... gallic civilian ships only get 90% core with Freelancer or Pirate ID

so my question... why is it like that?
i believe every civilian ship should have 100% core on generic ID's

eg. your a FL/Pirate in Sigma-13 you fly a Waran/Eagle or what ever you have 100% core
IF there would be more activity in gallia, lets say like O-3 or some there would be moreFL/Pirates in gallia as well, but they would never have a gallic ship with 100% core...

if there is someone who wants to be an independent pirate or freelancer in gallia he can't even use the ships of his nation with full core, right?

i hope the IMMORTALS respond here too as this issue is really something i want to see fixed or explained

Simply, Gallia had no Freelancers and unaffilated civilians... Everything has changed though... I guess it's just balance because Gallic Civ Guns had better shield/hull damage than codes. Who knows.

but dont i got a point on that??
they didnt had them but now they do...

btw i got the wrong subforum ...
can you move this thread?

Uuuhhh, okay.

Well, there must be a reason, if not then they might fix it soon.

I think it's supposed to suggest that while Gallic civilian tech is becoming more and more available, it should be very rarely seen as the concept of Freelancers and sharing tech is still pretty alien to Gallia.

RE: Civilian Ships Powercore - Stefan_Steinar - 06-10-2015

yea i got you point

but that doesnt explain it to me as if gallia would have high activity a indi Pirate with pirate ID has a disatvantage even when being at home right

That's the thing, being independent in Gallia is something that never happened there before. Everyone is affiliated with some faction.

The whole concept of flying independent did not really exist there until they made wider contact with Sirius.

There are old wrecks of freelancer ships in Gallia that are there ever since the House got added. They are usually Sunbeams - the Civ VHF. I think one of them even had a codename gun.
Some of the infocards also suggest the existence of independent pilots. Can't remember the exact ship, maybe Courbe.

As for the 90% technerf ... it's not much different than the other Houses. For example Kusari Civilian ships are also at 90%. (Hayabusa, etc.)
I guess they are regarded more as corporate ships instead of civilian.
However, Kusari freelancers can fly Eagles, Sabres, Saishis, etc, while a Gallic freelancer flying those in Gallia wouldn't make too much sense.
