In my twenties I worked as a deckhand on the Luxury Liner Shetland. While filling in as a security officer on a routine planet walk of Gaia, I found a small animal to bring back to the ship with me. While home on leave I found someone to buy the tiny creature. It was that moment that taught me how the universe works. If you have something people want, they will buy it from you.

Going forward a decade, I found myself the owner of a small freighter that I used for moving cargo, however, business was slow because I couldn't compete with the likes of Borderworld Exports or Gateway Shipping. Again, I turned to a brief moment of weakness and found cargo that someone wanted, munitions off the black market. The route was simple, a quick jaunt through the Taus and quickly through Kusari space to my customer, The Blood Dragons.

A random patrol in the dust clouds of Kyushu captured me. As a citizen of Bretonia, I had the full weight of the law levied against me and I was imprisoned. A year later I was one of the first prisoners to land on Planet Miura for mining duties. As an incarcerated resident of Miura, I found the work a nice distraction from the hopelessness I faced. During the last ten years, I rehabilitated myself, and as such I no longer will sacrifice integrity for profits.

Last month, I was released, having served the entirety of my sentence. I have spent a long time mingled in your culture and I'm proud to say it has rubbed off, in a pleasant way. I'm no longer the man I once was, but my desire to be in space has not left me, nor my ambition for selling things that people want, provided they are legal.
