To: BAF High Command (//plus further parties, see the message headers) - Char Aznable - 06-19-2015 -------| Incoming Transmission |------- ![]() » LOCATION: IKS Nagasaki » COMM-ID: Aramaki Hideo, Kaigun Daii » TARGET-ID: BAF, Board of Admirals, CC: Bretonian War Cabinet » SUBJECT: Requesting explanation » ENCRYPTION: Tiger Code MESSAGE Konbanwa I am doing this transmission because I have been handling all of the bretonian affairs until now. Furthermore, I doubt the Admiral will actually try to talk to you after this incident. What I am talking about is simple. Sakuma Hitomi-Kakka, our commanding officer, was patrolling the Leeds system earlier. Apparently, she got into a fight with a Gallic, together with one of your patrols, and decided to help you out as the Gauls got assistance. She furthermore does acknowledge that disobeying the Order from the Capital ship around was actually a decision of hers, putting the life of the pilot she was trying to save over her relations with that particular admiral. What happened then was pretty confusing. Apparently, your pilot decided that hunting down his backup would be a particular good choice. I understand that we all make mistakes being in the heat of battle. And that is fine with me. But you have to understand why my commanding officer would like to hear an apology, ideally by the pilot in question. Hopefully, you see the importance of that for our future relations. With regards Aramaki Hideo, Kaigun Daii ![]() RE: To: BAF High Command - Pacific - 06-20-2015 ![]() ![]() [Incoming Transmission] [Source: Her Majesty Ship Harbinger] [Directed: Aramaki Hideo, Kaigun Dai] [Encryption: Very High] [Priority: Very High] [CommID: Admiral Charles Davis] [Establishing video uplink...] Dear Aramaki Hideo I read the reports about the incident in question and as I can see our forces did tell your pilots to stand down. Mr Aramaki when a bretonian military or police entity gives out orders on Bretonian soil and space they are not nagotable or optional , they are to be crried out to the letter. By disobeying my officers orders not to interfere in that engagement your commanding officer also broke section 4 capter 11 of the Bretonian Charter of Interstellar Law. May I remind your Commanders and representatives that when you cunduct your operations and patrol's in the sovereign territoty of the Kingdom of Bretonia your forces are obliged to follow the orders of Bretonian Entity's and its Interstellar Laws. However due to political relations I suggest both of us and the pilots involved to put this thing behind us . But be warned that a second trangression over the laws of our nation will not be tolerated. Trusting the abe is sufficiently clear, Charles Davis Admiral Bretonia Armed Forces 8th York Great Fleet End Transmission RE: To: BAF High Command - Char Aznable - 06-21-2015 -------| Incoming Transmission |------- ![]() » LOCATION: IKS Nagasaki » COMM-ID: Sakuma Hitomi, Kaigun Chusho » TARGET-ID: BAF, Board of Admirals, CC: Bretonian War Cabinet, Bretonian Parliament » SUBJECT: Your petty justification » ENCRYPTION: Tiger Code MESSAGE Konbanwa I am taking this transmission now from Aramaki, since your pilot seems to not be interested in leaving a statement and you instead let one of your young Admirals that doesn't have anything better to do than cite laws and justify you firing on your allies. So let me be clear on this. You engage a Gaul, and when he gets backup you don't want your allies to reinforce your ranks, to avoid losing another pilot? After that, you fire on an ally in the presence of said enemies and justify that by disobeying orders? I get a feeling now why Bretonia had been performing so poorly in the past two wars, if it is only you protecting them, preferring to risk lives rather to save them and even shoot your allies in a warzone. Aramaki gave you a pretty nice and reasonable possibility to apologize, instead you ignore his request, try to shift the blame on us, even try to placate us as criminals. You even dare to threaten us. It is pretty interesting how we Kusarians get to be laughed at because of our sense of honor and stubbornness. Seems you have a twisted sense of the former and a too large portion of the latter. But I don't want to waste time playing the blame game, I have a war to fight. Since you appear to be uninterested in us as allies, I will deny your request, Admiral. We will not leave this behind. Consider this here to be the end of our alliance. We don't want hotheads and triggerhappy adrenaline junkies like your pilots seem to be to endanger our lives any longer. Every operation of the Imperial Guard, known to outsiders as 'Exiles', that had been conducted in Bretonia will come to an immediate end. Every soldier of the 343rd and imperial forces will leave your house immediately. Furthermore, we don't want to see you in the Nagasaki System, which you perhaps know as Tau-29. Any Bretonian vessel except for civilian ones will be ordered to leave our space, and just so you know - this also applies to the bunch of criminals that you call your Privateers. I hope you will get the Gauls a good beating. We can use them being occupied. Sayonara Sakuma Hitomi, Kaigun Chusho ![]() RE: To: BAF High Command - FallenKnight - 06-21-2015 ![]() ![]() Honored Aramaki Hideo, Kaigun Daii and Sakuma Hitomi, Kaigun Chusho, I've been following the development of this incident and to be honest with you - I am not pleased with the attitude comming out from both sides. You are discussing an important matters lightly and that is not how it should be done especially during times of war with an enemy we are clearly unable to beat if being separated. I will not go in depth nor will I take a side in this particular incident for it is a small red point on a very large black background. I hope you will understand what I am trying to say and will not be offended by my symbolism. Nevertheless laws exist to be followed by all men - and those breaking them should be punished. I refer to any parties being allies or not that participate with actions inside our Realm that are in clear violation of the laws. They must follow and respect our laws and obey them with no doubt. Mistakes could be commited but that is why allies exist - to forget such mistakes and forgive one another. Respectful representatives from Kusari, do not forget that not so long ago your people have declared war on Kingdom of Bretonia. With the arrival of the Gallic forces - most of your fleets were decimated and the rest, which we now know as the Exiles, have remained inside our Realm. We've been working together - "today" we've been feeding our enemies from "yesterday" so "tomorrow" - we could be friends and allies. This is important lesson for both sides which we must never forget just like we must never forget the lifes of our soldiers and pilots that we lost during the war between our Houses. I tell you all this to remind you that we share history and we must never allow the history to repeat itself. That is why I would advice you to reconsider your quick statements. In order to represent our good intentions and to prove you that we care for a stable relation between us - I would like to personally meet with you so we could discuss any future plans. Whenever you can - I welcome you to Jarrow, my land - on planet New London, and if that is impossible for you I can come to a place of your desire. Let us not allow the mistakes of a single man to lead us back where we started. Baron Firmus Piett, Lord of Jarrow, KBE Military Adviser of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense of House Bretonia ![]() RE: To: BAF High Command - Char Aznable - 06-21-2015 -------| Incoming Transmission |------- ![]() » LOCATION: IKS Nagasaki » COMM-ID: Sakuma Hitomi, Kaigun Chusho » TARGET-ID: Baron Firmus Piett, CC: BAF, Board of Admirals, Bretonian War Cabinet, Bretonian Parliament, BCC: Bretonian Press Agencies » SUBJECT: Talks » ENCRYPTION: Tiger Code MESSAGE Kon'nichiwa I am glad that someone actually sees the importance of our alliance, or at least relations. Although it took me quite some time to overthink it (and quite a lot of talking reason by my closest advisors), the Daihon'ei has agreed favourable on your request. Your offer to meet and talk sounds reasonable, and I am inclined to take it. Even if the situation is and was heated, I too see the necessity of peaceful talks rather than throwing insults. I doubt it will be impossible for me to reach you. We have a history of slipping through the Gallic Blockade, not with ease, but with elegance. For now, I will halt the imperial retreat of forces from Bretonia. My forces will stay on standby until this matter is resolved, although I am inclined to let them take on operations as before soon. Hoping to see you for a cup of tea. Sakuma Hitomi, Kaigun Chusho [Transmission history opened to Bretonian News Agencies in BCC] ![]() |
