I do not call you friends yet, because our relationship is not that old, but I do hope that we will be friends in due time. To achieve this, I have a business proposition for you. The job offer you recently made us seems to have been going sideways, but that doesn't mean we have to stay silent. In this current situation, we are in need of your help. Our current operations require us to retrofit one of our vessels, a ship of the CTE-12400 "Condor"-class, with cutting edge sensor systems. We are able to provide most of the materials, but we do not have the proper manpower, engineering-wise as well as we do not have acces to a shipyard large enough to house the Tomozoru during her retrofit. It is in this situation I turn to you, dear allies, since we know that your facilities at Scarborough are indeed able to perfom the tasks we need. I'd like to ask if you would be able and ready to perform the necessary modifications, and if yes, since this is a business agreement, what you have in mind as a recompensation. We're not completely broke, of course, but I highly doubt that pure money would be what you are interested in, am I correct? In the hope of a swift and favourable response Sayonara Signed

30/07/822 A.S. ![]() Priority: High Topic: RE: Possible Assignment Message Contents: Honourable Exile, Borderworld Exports would like to apologize for the delay in this response. Our war-time schedule has left us with very little space to maneuver, and at certain points it becomes rather difficult to respond in due time. Trust that this is only a temporary setback, and that the Bowex corporation vows to keep providing excellent service to both our allies and clients. Onto the matter at hand, due to our wartime security agreements the only payment we would require of your organization would be simple maintenance and upkeep fees. If you would like assistance while you transport the damaged vessel to Scarborough, let us know and we will put through an Exploration and Security representative to discuss further details. You have been assigned dock 7-F, our engineering crews already know the CTE-12400 "Condor"-class and are ready to assist, but if you would like to enlist the help of some of the Sector's finest Sensory Equipment Engineers, we will need certain specifications of the arrays to brief our crews with. We, obviously, trust that discretion will be observed and potential diplomatic incidents will be avoided. Borderworlds Exports looks forward to doing further business with you, and wishes to keep relations between the corporation and your organization prosperous. Apart from that, I am looking forward to further cooperations in that regard and hope that further comms can be responded to more swiftly, mainly because the war is something that requires quick actions and decisions. Apart from that, there appears to have been a minor misunderstanding. The Vessel in question, the IKS Tomozoru is not damaged, it rather has to be retro-fitted with new sensor arrays since the current ones are hardly enough to provide constant sensor cover when searching precisely or on long ranges, a problem that many vessels of Gunboat size have. The blueprints of the new arrays have been provided recently, an adaptation of the sensor configuration we use on our own Takeda-Class Destroyers. We will of course provide the necessary fees, and will be moving the ship itself as soon as possible. The current patrol schedule leaves the ship free from 1900 of this day, which means we will most likely be moving her down in that particular instance. Any ExSec Cover is a possibility, but not a necessity - One can never know when the GRN plans one of their assaults on Newcastle. As for the avoiding of diplomatic incidents - I know the crew of the Tomozoru, and I can guarantee that they will behave, although I hope that your deck crews will be able to as well. I do hope for further relations between our two organizations as well, and am of course open to suggestions for cooperation, as long as they fit with our assets. Regards Signed

31/07/822 A.S. ![]() Priority: High Topic: RE: Possible Assignment Message Contents: Honourable Exile, Thank you for clearing up the misunderstanding, although if your vessel does get damaged you can rely on the corporation's repair crews to move with superb efficiency. Our dock crews and Sensor Array engineers have been carefully selected and briefed on the specifics of the task at hand. You can count on them to do what they are assigned and to refrain from causing problems. Borderworld Exports has the utmost respect for your escort pilots, and trusts that they will not run into any difficulties while making the flight over to Newcastle. Local patrols will be called in case of an emergency, but we have to inform you that our security teams are preoccupied with Civil Defence Initiative operations. We are looking forward to seeing your crews on Scarborough, and hope their stay is pleasant. Yours in service to the Realm Thomas Morley Manager, Trade Combine Borderworld Exports Transmission End
