Freelancer setup - BOB - 08-10-2015

Hello,

I'm going through the process of installing freelancer from scratch as I seem to do every year or so when I get a craving for sirius again.

Anyway, I wondered how you guys have FL installed. I was hoping to have mine installed on a VM so next time I re-format I'd be able to just copy my game across. Anyone else doing this?

Also, FL doesn't seem to work on my recent install of W10.

How do you all have FL installed?

for installation, all default folders

Works fine on 10, just like it did on 8. Your drivers probably need updating.

Windows 10? Prepare for your PC to be blocked if you have any... "unlicensed" software. With 10 on your PC, according to the T&C, MS has insight to everything you do, even your private mails.

As stated above, update your drivers.

Heh, I installed an iso and ran an activation program, the windows itself is "unlicenced". I think MS would struggle to get much data out of my 3rd party applications to be honest. Anyway, not really why I'm here today Smile

Thanks for the suggestions regarding my drivers, I'll do an update on everything, good thinking.

No one out there running FL on a Virtual Machine?

Working on W10 now. Just had to reinstall disco Smile

If anyone manages to get FL + discovery working on a Virtual Machine I'd be very interested in hearing about it
