Ship Name: GMG|Keiji.Namura
Subject: Sigma-13 Black Market Munitions Smuggler, Identification {AFC}-Sutakatta[k]

During a standard traffic control operation at the Honshu jump gate in Sigma-13, a transport was detected in breach of GMG law 2.2. The ship was tagged as {AFC}-Sutakatta[k], a member of a group The Guild has had little to no interaction with and possesses sparse knowledge of. The transport failed to follow Guild directives and was subsequently destroyed. It was later deemed necessary make contact with the Archangels Fighter Club in order to acquire an official response. The message is attached below.

A man identifying himself as Sunny responded and denied all responsibility on behalf of his Club, alleging the offending pilot to be acting alone and claimed to be unable to answer questions one and two. His answer to question three was an emphatic no. Traffic control and standard patrols should remain vigilant to ensure any further smuggling operations that might pass through GMG territory, AFC or otherwise, are promptly detected and intercepted.

Subject: Delivery to Southampton

I have been busy collecting the Helium in Gas Miners in Okinawa earlier today. And I successfully stored them in Iejima before loading them to Kawaii Yuso , my Kujira.I was commissioned on a trade mission to Bretonia space.
Meanwhile , we were expecting a Karasu patrol to escort me , they were late for 3 hours. We had a transmission saying they were interrupted and needed to take care of some independent cardamine smugglers. Considering the urgency of this delivery and after listening to thoughts of other Guildsmen who I share the mission with , I decided to start the journey alone. In Tokyo , I've been assisted by a Police patrol until Tau-29 gate.
Tau-29 was quite silent. Didn't encounter anyone except some Zoner haulers.I jumped to Tau-31 safely. To make sure that cargo will be safe , I avoided any contacts with Royal Navy , stood out of radar range , since the shipment destination was Bretonia.
Then I safely approached Leeds system. Because of the war raging on there, I found the New London Jump Gate disabled.
Fortunately , I knew another way to New London from my days in the Naval Forces. There is a Jump Hole in the system , heading for New London. It is mostly used by pirates and Junkers , considering there were intense Royal Navy patrols throughout the system , I took my chance. The coordinates for this shortcut is 6-C/D , West Leeds Smog Cloud.
After a long cruise speed journey through dangerous zones , I finally approached to Southampton Shipyard. They hailed me, and were expecting me. The cargo delivered successfully.
After taking some rest , I will head back to Okinawa.By the way, I got a transmission from Roppongi , New Tokyo.Asking me if I can haul Gold while on my way back through Kusari. If there are no other Guild missions I am going to do that.

Subject: Patrol Report; Cardamine Smuggler, Kruger Train

Today's standard Sigma-13 patrol and traffic control has produced two notable incidents.

The first of which was a cardamine smuggler, encountered near the Sigma-19 jumphole and heading towards the system's tradelanes. Following a conversation in which they tried to bribe their way out of the situation, the pilot agreed to drop his cardamine, which was destroyed, and pay a standard fine peacefully. They were then successfully escorted to the Frankfurt jumpgate, and left the Sigma-13 system.

This encounter was noteworthy due to the mention of unknown "employers" and an apparent commitment to the continued transport of cardamine through Guild space, although it is most likely the people pulling the strings were simply Outcast drug lords. All paramilitary patrols should be aware of the ship Silky.Path and intercept it immediately if detected.

The second noteworthy encounter of the patrol was with a Kruger "Colossus" Rheinland Train, first detected at the Honshu gate and subsequently tailed to Gas Miner Naha. This ship was carrying a full load of furs, presumably a luxury designated for the Rheinland elite. Despite Kruger's status as banned from Guild space, I was prepared to exercise leniency and allow this ship to pass with merely a fine. However, the abrasive pilot had other ideas. They engaged their engines and attempted to flee in direct violation of Guild directives, eventually opening fire when disrupted.

Following a short firefight, the outmatched Colossus lost hull integrity and exploded spectacularly, unfortunately causing great waste as its valuable cargo was lost in the process.

Konnichiwa. This is Vincent Maddox, Captain of the GMG vessel MV-Vincent.Maddox.

In the last few days I have noticed an increasing number of incursions by Kruger ships into GMG space.

The two ships in question (Kruger|xi-13 and Kruger|xi-15) have been entering Sigma 19 via Sigma 13 and attacking our miners at the Helium extraction points. They both fly BHG gunboats with Solaris gunboat weapons and grade 7 capital ship armour. Their modus operandi is to approach the miner, claiming that Sigma 19 belongs to them and demanding 4 million credits on pain of destruction. Last night, they were even so bold as to enter Okinawa allegedly to "look around". When challenged, they refused to leave and, in the subsequent battle with both myself and another GMG ship, where we were severely outgunned, my mining vessel was destroyed.

I feel that it is imperative that we mount an effective resistance against them in order to ensure the free flow of He-3 to the rest of Sirius.

Maddox out.

There have been problems in Sigma-13 over the last week or so, regarding the illegitimate construct named above. I am pleased to report that the issue has been resolved, with the offending installation being peacefully evacuated and deconstructed. The communications log between myself and the owner, Professor Stephen Hawking, are attached.

Subject: Sigma-13 Altercation

During a routine flight through Sigma-13, I was today intercepted by a VFK|Sitnyik.Sotomayor out in the Crow Nebula, far away from marked trade lanes. The pilot of this ship did not appear to be friendly. Shortly after, they were joined by their friend, VFK|Wolfgang.Spielman, who happened to be in possession of cardamine. A brief exchange of words made their intentions clear, and I soon found myself under fire under the supposed justification of a previous encounter. Were I to face these two ships alone, I would likely have been finding my way home in a pod, or worse, not at all. Fortunately, I was joined by a fellow Guildmember, and we engaged in even combat. The hostiles put up a strong fight, but were eventually taken down one by one, albeit at the cost of the exemplary friendly ship.

I was later forced to limp back to Helgoland Station, my Eagle VHF having sustained heavy damage. The communications log is attached.

It is imperative that the origins and motivations of these people be determined immediately, in order to ensure the security of Guild space. All Guild ships should be vigilant of any ships carrying VFK| identification, as it is highly likely this is indicative of a hostile group that has a grudge, for reasons unknown, against GMG.

Some time later, a Corsair ship was found loitering near the trade lane between Helgoland Station and the Frankfurt jumpgate. It had already suffered damage from an unknown source, and was swiftly neutralised before it could cause any real trouble. Any Corsair activity is cause for concern, and must be curtailed at any given opportunity.

Subject: Samura Smuggling, AFC Non-Compliance

A Samura transport was recently intercepted in Sigma-17, brimming with contraband alien artifacts. The ship had just exited the Omicron Theta jumphole, and was likely coming directly from Planet Crete itself. The pilot was naturally non-cooperative, and gradually edged toward Planet Kurile, eventually fleeing in-atmosphere.

The control Samura exerts over the planet has become too large a thorn in our side to be allowed to continue.

Some time later, there was an issue with another AFC pilot in Sigma-13. The pilot failed to halt for a cargo scan and decided to go racing around Sigma-13, all the while ignoring demands he cut his engines. Following a brief moment of compliance, the pilot then took off again and disappeared into the nebula.

The channel originally opened with AFC regarding their munitions smuggler has been reactivated, reporting the incident to Mr. Sunny and asking he get his clubmembers under control.

Subject: Survey Operations

With the recent anomalous readings detected by Niigata Star City seemingly stabilising, I was, in a survey class Garanchou freighter, earlier joined by Guildmember Hitsugaya on a mission to investigate and log any changes to the Sigma systems. The results collected are astonishing.

Sigma-59 now directly links to a system deep within the Omicrons, Omicron Zeta, which carries the potential to present a major security risk to Guild space. It was decided against moving deeper into the system, and we promptly returned to Guild space. A second operation will be put together, with more manpower, to delve deeper into Omicron Zeta.

In the centre of Sigma-59, at the edge of the Kamo Belt, lies a jumphole to the newly-discovered Sigma-21. This leads to the Tonkin Cloud in Sigma-21, which conveniently obscures the return route. The Battleship Daishouri has already been relocated, to serve as a both a forward base for operations in the system, and a mighty guard to protect our home.

There appears to be four planetary bodies in the system, the first investigated being Planet Hanoi. Its composition appears to contain a notable amount of Helium-3, however, harvesting from the planet will likely be commercially unsound, considering the ease of accessing He-3 deposits in the Sigma-19 and Okinawa fields. The planet may potentially be a target of thievery, as enemies of ours such as Samura and Kruger may consider such a repository to be commercially viable. In orbit of Hanoi is a small and unremarkable moon, Hai Phong, which is unlikely to be of any use.

On the other side of the system's binary stars lies Planet Saigon. This planet is clearly of the utmost importance, as preliminary scans taken imply it is habitable. Should our neighbours come to the same conclusion, it is certain a landgrab would occur, depriving The Guild of an extremely valuable planet and weakening our grip on the system. Saigon must be properly surveyed and claimed with great haste. It too is a accompanied by a small moon, Kauthara.

Weak gravimetric readings implied the presence of yet another jumphole in a local outcropping of the Crow Nebula, which we managed to locate, mostly through luck. After taking the hole, we emerged in another nebula, in, what is a new development for GMG, Sigma-15. We took a path which was likely inwards, directed by a star, and emerged into a wide open space with a station in the distance. Upon inspection, this station revealed itself to be Freeport 15, yet we have received no communications from any Zoners at any point, regarding the discovery of the system or the construction of their station, which is cause for concern. Rheinland is also clearly aware of the system, with two intelligence agents spotted at distance. They changed course and did not approach, while we held position at the Freeport.

A Zoner ship later emerged, as did a Core "Bullhead" Battlecruiser, which later turned out to be commanded by one Keeper Raven, who has assisted The Guild with valuable intelligence in the past. This ship, the A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith was highly armoured and armed with Core weaponry and a cloaking device, but interestingly, not carrying Core identification. A highly fruitful conversation ensued, in which the Zoner and Guildkeeper shared some of their knowledge of the area. During this conversation, planets were sighted in the distance, but not approached.

At one point we were joined by another capital vessel, this time the A/)-ACV-Cincinnati, also highly armoured and armed, this time with a curious combination of IMG and Liberty weaponry, and another cloak. These people are clearly part of an organised group, however, how they have come to acquire such a mix of ships and equipment is unknown.

These events have left The Guild with a lot of work to do to ensure its sovereignty over the Sigma systems is maintained and enforced. To this end, we are faced with several tasks.

-Survey of Sigmas 13, 17, 19, 59 and Okinawa to investigate any changes such as jump holes closing and opening.
-Full survey of Sigma-21.
-Investigation of Planet Saigon to determine habitability and feasibility of colonisation effort.
-Full survey of Sigma-15, based on information provided by Keeper Raven and Brad the Zoner.
-Exploratory efforts in Omicron Zeta due to its new link to Sigma-59.

In the meantime, a public broadcast will be prepared to announce a claim on the systems of Sigma-21 and Sigma-15.

End of report.

At roughly 21:17 this evening, the Communications department onboard Ogashawa picked up a distress signal coming from Guildmaster Keiji Namura in the nearby nebula. Interceptors were quickly raised to alert 1 and launched, even though hangar 4 was the only bay capable of handling fighter craft at the time, and it didn't take me long to run into trouble in the form of three Farmers Alliance ships. They all had similar transponder prefixes, as evident in the scanner logs, and their force composition numbered 2 Irezumi very heavy fighters and 1 Mamoru bomber. Namura was flying an Eagle, and I arrived on station at 21:19 in a Karasu interceptor.

After some intense trash talking, we began shooting each other. The fight ended in a decisive victory for Guild forces; three down on their side, and no losses on ours. During the scrap, I was able to down one of their Irezumis with concentrated gunfire. I'll be sure to let the ground crews know so that they can paint another tally mark on my ship.

I took some superficial damage to the hull on the side, resulting in the loss of my number two engine, but aside from that, the both of us made it back relatively unscathed. Flight logs are recorded below.

That's about it for now.
