Discovery Mod - Reggae - 10-26-2008

Hi,

I'm an ex-player of freelancer interested in playing the Discovery Mod. I have a couple of friends who I play on-line regularly with who are also interested in playing freelancer but have not played the original game (although they both now own it).

Am I right in thinking that if we play multi player we will not have a series of missions to play through i.e a storyline? I'm wondering if it would be better to advise them to play the SP game first?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

The current mod does contain the SP campaign, but with the Discovery additions, the single player campaign is amazingly hard to beat. I would suggest telling your Friends to play through the normal Freelancer single player before adding the mod and playing on the server.

Thanks for the advice. I'll suggest my friends take the SP route, at least for awhile. I may do the same as it's been 3 years since I played and I'l like to refamiliarise myself with the game.

I hadn't realised until yesterday that the game still had such an active mod community or that people were Role Playing. Sounds great!
