Dear unknown pilot of the Hashihime,

I know that you don't know me, so let me break the ice by introducing myself. My name is Randall Colby, but you can call me Randy for short. Few days ago, I was in desperate need of money so I sent a public message in NeuralNet, hoping I'll find someone willing to offer me a small loan for a week. At that time, I needed around 2 mils SC in order to buy a small freighter. Then you send me 12 mils SC with no refund obligation and thanks to you, now I'm able to earn my own money. I bought recently a transport vessel CT-53 class, known also as "Heron", with a large cargo space, which is more than I hoped to have.

You know... "a friend in need is a friend in deed" is an adage for those who help others without any reason. It is very difficult to have friends like you these days that care for others without any reason. I cannot express my gratitude in just few words. I don't even know your name, but your kind assistance has simply saved me.

I am deeply obliged to you for the financial help you have extended to me in time of dire need. I still have your account ID so I promise that I'll try my best to return your amount at my earliest possible. Once again thank you so much!

With best wishes,
Randall Colby

Dear unknown pilot of the Hashihime,

I'm in a little bit of a hurry so I'm going to shoot it to you straight: if you intercept this transmission, please note that I returned the loan to your bank account. To be honest, I don't know how to thank you for your help, but if you ever need to bring something, more or less legal... somewhere... that's what I do, so you can count on me!

Oh, and... maybe we will meet one day. Or maybe not. Who knows!?

Konnichiwa, my friend!
I apologise deeply for the delay, I've gotten so much paperwork lately that I failed to notice your video message after diving into it...
I'm personally not a fan of loans. I'd rather you'd have just kept the donation. However, modesty is a virtue that will bring you very far, that I must admit. I can confirm that I have received your transfer, so you may rest calmly if you were worrying about such a thing.

Oh, and by the way. I've been hearing that you were interested in joining the corporate ranks of Samura Heavy Industries, I can only hope that you haven't done so already. Samura is a very... narrow-minded company that puts profit before the people. Power instead of striving for perfection. Prices instead of quality, and so on. You know the sort!
I'm also not pulling this out of my.. dark areas, in case you were doubting my words. I have lived in Kusari for the majority of my life and work for Kishiro, that alone has given me more insight than a normal foreigner, or even a normal civilian could perceive about the company.

Since I tend to travel a lot as part of my job, I have no doubt about it that we'll meet some day! Perhaps I'll keep a few bottles of Sake for the occasion, or would it be better for something stronger? Hmm.

Well then, you probably tire of my mindless rambling, so I'll leave you to it! Best of luck in your future work!

Atsumori Naito
