Cannot connect to main server - RonG777 - 08-05-2006
I was wondering if I could get some help on what I'm doing wrong with connecting on Discovery server. I have so much enjoyed this MOD on single player and would like to try to begin multiplayer.
I have done a complete reinstall of Freelancer, (made sure all folders were deleted b4 starting), installed mod manager, made sure i have the new beta, turned off all firewalls, (made sure XP firewall turned off also), and shut down any other running applications other than the essentials.
When i start the multiplayer game and it connects to the global server discovery's server shows "???" in the ping column. After 5 - 10 minutes a "-" is shown and i can never get connected. I have tried other mod versions and the 1.0 version with other servers and i get connected.
Since I am new to muliplayer gaming, I don't know what i am doing wrong. I live in the Mid - Atlantic part of the U.S., (not sure where server is located).
Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.
