To: The Sigma Alliance - TheJarl - 01-06-2016 Lane Hackers Honourable representatives,
The Bundschuhpartei reaches out to its allies today as troubling events have occurred that could lead to significant setbacks. In June 822 a Lane Hacker was caught by VWA Oberst Klugmann smuggling cardamine through Rheinland. Something that our organisation does not allow and is also forbidden by point 3.3 of the treaty of the Sigma Alliance . After that violent incident we did not hear from the Lane Hackers again for a long time.
However in December 822 suddenly there was a follow-up to that event. As part of a humanitarian operation to relieve the disaster-struck population of Planet Nuremberg a Bundschuh convoy was flying to Planet Los Angeles with holds full of fertilizers. The Republic of Liberty had offered us their food surplus which we paid for with Holstein fertilizers. In the Hudson system Lane Hackers intercepted our convoy and eventually employed violence to destroy one transport and taking the cargo. A few days later the Lane Hackers send a message to all Bundschuh members with vague and unsubstantiated accusations against Oberst Klugmann and falsely claiming that the the hacker transport of the incident in June was innocent and did not carry cardamine. After refuting their claims the Lane Hackers announced their hostility to us and vowing the following (01-04-2016, 04:15 PM)Yoshida Wrote: The Bundschuhpartei takes this threat very seriously. As such we request our allies to stand with us in the face of this foe that is completely corrupted by the influence of cardamine. There are several reasons why this concerns the Sigma Alliance. Most importantly is that loosing our supply line with Liberty would severely harm our capabilities to combat the infested forces in Rheinland and the Nomads themselves. In addition we would have to divert forces from theatres such as the Sigmas, to the independent systems. Finally, Rheinland so far has been the house least affected by the plague that is cardamine, a change in that situation could have devastating effects. We do not know have far the Lane Hackers will truly go but the Bundschuhpartei would prefer not to find out. We ask the members of the Sigma Alliance to voice their support for the Bundschuhpartei and use all their diplomatic power to have the Lane Hackers cease any hostilities and restore neutrality. In addition if the Lane Hackers refuse to back down and starts actively attacking Bundschuh forces, then the Bundschuhpartei will seriously consider invoking point 2.1 of the Sigma Alliance treaty that requires members of the treaty to defend each other from enemies regardless of affiliation. We trust that the Order Overwatch and Blood Dragon Shogunate will take actions befitting this situation and we hope that the issue de-escalates as soon possible. To Freya Eistochter. Golanski here. I reviewed information provided by you and I agree, Lane Hacker aggression is uncalled for. We will take any measure adequate to the situation, making Lane Hacker professorship aware that we will not stand idle should they carry out these threats against your organization. I hope Blood Dragons follow the suit and talk Hackers into stepping down from their harmful rhetoric. Until we hear of more incidents, we will not intervene in any shape and form reserving military action for only when hostilities result in violence. The Order Overwatch out. |
