RE: Battlegroup Harmony - Missions and standing orders - Kelly O'Brien - 02-07-2016

Incident Report
Your callsign: Kelly.O'Brien
Shiptype: Guardian
Short report:
My squad, consisting of Ensign Thistle and Lieutenant Junior Class Moose, arrived at Rio Grande at 20:15 as planned. Lieutenant Lexy Hawkins was accompanying us and offered to support the planned exercise. Moose' ships had to stay grounded on Rio Grande for emergency repairs and thus we lost the time for the actual practice and went straight to the patrol.

Lieutenant Hawkins, Ensign Thistle and I then went on patrol into the copperton asteroid field. LPI forces accompanied us for a reason they didn't want to share. The whole area was clear and devoid of any hostile contacts. We checked the gate to Galileo then but even that one was clear and the trade lane was suspiciously safe as well.
After taking the Lane back to Rio Grande we realized why it was so clear.

We received a distress call by the OSC liner Atlantis soon after arrival. It's engines had failed and they had hostiles closing in. We organized the LPI and our forces and went to assist. A group of Lane Hackers, supported by an Outcast was already there when we arrived and after they denied to surrender we engaged them. After a long fight we managed to fight them off without a single casualty if I may be so free as to discard my guardian which was basically totalled.

After securing the liner we made our way back to Rio Grande for emergency repairs which I couldn't really take just yet since we managed to intercept an illegal Software smuggler. After forcing him to drop the cargo and pay his fine we made our way back and I dismissed Ensign Thistle. He was doing a great job out there. Maybe better than I when you can count the state our ships were in after the combat.

I can also recommend Lieutenant Hawkins for future training sessions and in general too. Her combat skill was exemplary. Although it also seems to make her a bit cocky I believe that it is pilots like her that we need to support if we want to stay strong in the future.

Lieutenant Commander O'Brien out, end of report.

RE: Battlegroup Harmony - Missions and standing orders - Victoria Knight - 02-09-2016

This is Rear Admiral Knight speaking.

First I want to announce our newest addition to the Battlegroup, namely Lieutenant Lexy Hawkins. She will aid our force with her experience and combat skill. Some of you have witnessed the Lieutenant's skill already. Those who didn't can feel free to listen to O'Briens story that even I had to hear more than once already.

The Lieutenant will be responsible for combat training but will not take over a squad of her own. I believe she will make a fine addition to the team.

The very next thing is that we received new orders from high command. It appears that we have not one but two heavily armed groups fighting against Liberty.

The first one is the so called Battlegroup Auxesia. High Command expelled these from Liberty and as such we will not accept their presence here anymore.

The second one is following the rogue Battleship "Cincinnati". This Overlord class warship has abandoned the Navy and has been supported by these ships:

The.Artemis
The.Sovereign

As you may have heard these ships are declared enemy of Liberty as well. Act accordingly.

Knight out.

RE: Battlegroup Harmony - Missions and standing orders - Mikel Thistle - 02-11-2016

Incident Report
Your callsign: Mikel 'Navy Fighter' Thistle
Shiptype: Guardian
Short report:
Don't judge me... the Commander ordered me to do it. You better not make the name stick, ok?

Commander O'Brien and Ivy Grant were in a deep discussion, and given the fact an unescorted convoy carrying a huge amount of ore had passed through, she thought it best to put me on patrol duty. Patrol duty is splendid; put your feet up, punch in the route and keep at least one eye open. This wasn't a specific gig so Hawkins and Moose were most likely grabbing the R&R they could. I don't blame them. O'Brien pushes us hard.

The convoy made it clear through Colorado no problem, despite a shifty looking Junker vessel. Satisfied no innocents or gold was lost to some bandit-scum, it was almost muscle memory plotting the patrol back through to California. That's... where things got interesting. Out of nowhere some 'XT-8' jumps through like a tractor into the broadside of a barn, enters the lane and drops traffic, thinking it'd get out of dodge. Not on Harmony's watch it wasn't. Directly outside Manhatten, O'Brien and Ivy intercepted the AI vessel. After a bit of probing... *the sound of mutted chuckles come through the vidcom*, it spills the beans on some kind of 'Protocol 7' before engaging. The rustbucket is space dust now, but it left behind some charred materials. O'Brien's taking it to the bigwigs to get it analysed.

That would have been enough drama for one patrol, if it weren't for some Freelancer with a callsign of 'Catharsis' showing up and dropping some intel on these XT rustbuckets. Turns out there's a group of these pests roaming around Coronado and Liberty dropping off nuclear arms. I don't like the sound of it... too convenient and sounds like a trap but it's O'Brien's call.

*A yawn echoes through the vidcam* I'm not done just yet. A Coalitioner by the name of Yuriy Gagarin flew into Manhatten space, and after a little facy flyin decided to engage us. Seems the Socialist got lost and wanted to get some of his disappointment out? Unclear, but he engaged O'Brien - enough said. The job done, yet another XT showed up, this time carrying Artefacts and weaponry. After the information from earlier that patrol, we were having none of it. The rustbucket docked up in Rochester so there's nothing we could do about it...

Ensign Thistle, signing off.

RE: Battlegroup Harmony - Missions and standing orders - Skorak - 02-16-2016

Incident Report
Your callsign: LNS-Harmony
Shiptype: Liberty "Overlord"-class Dreadnought
Short report: After responding to a primary fleet([LN]-John.McZgonn.) emergency call, the Harmony moved towards the Pennsylvania system. All escorts were on patrols throughout the system and didn't return in time. The primary fleet was apparently outgunned and improperly equipped. The Harmony was ambushed close to Philadelphia Station, were the Legion Ranseur([HF]-HFB-Ven'Gyr) and the Legion Scylla([HF]-HFD-Iblis) managed to heavily damage the ship. Emergency repair and system checkups on Norfolk are running at priority speed. A crippling blow but nothing that would take the battlegroup down.
Guncams: Critical damage done

RE: Battlegroup Harmony - Missions and standing orders - Emperor Tekagi - 02-16-2016

Incident Report
Your callsign: Dave Moose
Shiptype: Guardian
Short report: Today's patrol (16.02.823) was uneventful until I met an Outcast Heavy Fighter, callsign 72nd|Randy.Santiago, not far from the Tradelane to the New York Jumpgate. I chased him until we were in the orbit of Los Angeles before I managed to persuade him that I wasn't about to kill him right away.
There started the interrogation. Which, I must admit, was really an interesting conversation.
Apparently named Santiago is the Fleet Commander of an Maltese Navy offshort that works against the Crimson Cross and the Nomads. He gave out information about their plan to overthrow the current Maltese goverment which involves replacing it with a democratic system but also about their current fleet strenght.
He also mentioned as his reason to be in Liberty, one of the recent Nomad incidents inside our borders.
I let him run for now, he didn't look like posing any threat to us and him cooperating was helpful.
He left towards the Ontario System.

I will add the logs here:

RE: Battlegroup Harmony - Missions and standing orders - Emperor Tekagi - 02-21-2016

Incident Report
Your callsign: Dave Moose
Shiptype: Guardian
Short report: Today I went on patrol in Pennsylvania and New York.
Everything was calm in and around the Helium field as well as around the trade lanes.
Therefore I set New York as today's priority and as expected trouble was there.
An independent Kusarian "Big Dragon" Transport with quite a lot slaves aboard.
Since its Captain refused to stop, I saw myself forced to do so. After a chase around half of the Pittsburgh Debris field,I finally got him to stop. But instead of the expected cooperation from the smuggler's side, he opened fire immediatly. Shortly before I took him down an allied Defiant-class, callsign USMC appeared. It's Captain asked if I require assistance and I told him to keep this one's cruise engines disrupted, as I was about to run out of disruptors.
The Captain and me tractored as many slaves up as we could and already made an emergency call. The remaining slaves should be rescued while I am writing this report by DSE transports.
That's all for now.

Guncams: The slaves we took back already.

RE: Battlegroup Harmony - Missions and standing orders - Emperor Tekagi - 02-21-2016

Incident Report
Your callsign: Dave Moose
Shiptype: Waran
Short report: Addition to todays patrol. In the orbit of Manhattan was a Stargazer Shuttle, callsign:Lzerpao, which out of sudden and without a response to my requests to stop, attacked me. I firstly ignored him but when he decided to engage a bypassing Sunburst Freighter, callsign: Sitri, I saw enough and ended this with a few shots.

RE: Battlegroup Harmony - Missions and standing orders - Victoria Knight - 02-21-2016

This is Rear Admiral Knight speaking.

We are moving away from the Manhattan Defense Grid for now. We got reports of an increase smuggling traffic in the California system. Artifacts, Cardamine, Slaves. That sort of thing.

High Command wants confirmation, scans and if possible the reason for that sudden increase. If we stop this problem now a possible pirate incursion can be avoided in the same strike. We need tighter controls and show them that even though there is a war raging, we still have things under control. Will be nice view too. Course is set to Curacao's orbit.

Patrol rosters will be given out and I want the lanes checked. Every single case of smuggling will be stopped and be it yet so little. If we allow them one unit the next time their holds will be full. If we manage this well, then I am sure I can haggle some field towards Curacao out of it.

You received your orders. Move out.

Knight out.
