Just noticed a bug on PoB :
-Food is now bought for a , simingly, random price, and not the price set on the base.
-Food sold is not added to the base supplies.

Having check on 2 different Bases it appears that Food is a different commodity.
On both Bases I have now 2 Food Icons.
Maybe the latest update changed something.

Hence why the the Base price was different to what you are used to seeing ($50).

I believe that bases in Rheinland space will no longer use Food Rations, and will have to use instead Synth Paste.
Also bases in Kusari space will have to use Kyushu Rice instead of Food Rations
I think the ones in Bretonia and Liberty still use Food Rations.
I just noticed that Food Ration stop being consumed on bases in Rheinland space and bordering space.
So switch now base owners, to Synth Paste or Kyushu Rice ... enjoy

What is changed are selling points of them. So on many bases/planets food rations are no longer available and instead of them there is rice or synth paste etc. But bases should have no problem to consume all types of food.

That's not possible, the plugin doesn't work like this. There is no regional food limitation.
If a new food commodity bearing the same icon and same IDS has been introduced and we weren't made aware of it, the serverside config to allow this alt commodity to be eaten by the base is not there.

Alright, i checked too, and the PoBs, now have the two food icons... so you're right, it is probably due to the latest update when theychanged the food supplies for PoBs.
And of course the Foods that were sold to the base were stacked on the second food commodity.
However, i still wonder if the old food commodity is still used and consummed by bases.

As far as I am aware it will consume both but at the moment it appears to consume the newer one first.
