just wondering - tommyt127 - 03-29-2016 if WW1/WW2 references aren't allowed here, and neither are political sentiments... why does bretonia have this? RE: just wondering - Omicron - 03-29-2016 WW 1/2 references are not banned, Rheinland in itself is based on German Empire bit prior to WW1 itself I believe, with some Weimar Republic (interwar period) thrown into the mix. What is however outlawed here, is nazism. RE: just wondering - tommyt127 - 03-29-2016 i did wonder, as things like this appear in game frequently joseph_goebbels even appeared in game for a while just not sure how far this server will allow lolwuts to take it on a similar note RE: just wondering - thisDerius - 03-29-2016 Anything that is conneceted to ww I and ww II and is offensive is not allowed. RE: just wondering - sindroms - 03-29-2016 References ingame are handled tastefully enough. Things like this are sanctionable because our community is not mature enough to handle such material tastefully. I wholeheartedly agree. people being butthurt is usually the cause. history is history. people should work together and improve... but there will always be those who are hurt recalling events. RE: just wondering - Backo - 03-30-2016 We might not be able to pretend to be Nazi Stormtroopers, but we can always be space Soviets. It's close enough, really! RE: just wondering - Lythrilux - 03-30-2016 But right is might... i promise you i'm actually a socialist RE: just wondering - Foxglove - 03-30-2016 (03-30-2016, 12:43 AM)Lythrilux Wrote: But right is might... I'm afraid you still committed thoughtcrime, sir. RE: just wondering - Jeremy Hunter - 03-30-2016 I believe the referencing is limited. We can name an LABC Iwo Jima, have the carrier Saratoga, or have the Churchill-class. But the SCRA was denied the ability to call any battleship Stalin. The bans are for the things such as the Holocaust or Stalin's purges, and not things like Churchill or even battle names. Hell, Okinawa was bloodied than Iwo Jima, but it's a system name. Essentially, if you're going to reference a war, do it tastefully. Don't name it after someone or something that is universally agreed to be downright atrocious. |
