System and engagement ban. - Epo - 04-02-2016 What do you think about removing the 2h system ban while KEEPING 2h engagement ban? Maybe to compestate that you'd need to stay at least 10k away from the guy that's killed you. This way looking at eg. NY: If someone has died in a battle near hattan would still be able to participate in another battle near norfolk lets say or just pass across the system even if 5mins after death has passed. This way it wouldn't hurt pvp-side of encounters, because player still would be dead and couldn't participate in a fight according to the one he's died in, but still could be able to look for interactions and fight in different part of the map / freely traveling through the system. Or just let them only to pass through the said system after they've died inside withno problems, it wouldn't make the problem of pirates abusing it Discuss. RE: System and engagement ban. - Corile - 04-02-2016 no unless you're going to remove armour upgrades or reloads edit: also tbh the entire 2h ban is dumb if it's not for the character, it's strange to see the ship i killed in t31 a moment later in t29. RE: System and engagement ban. - Thunderer - 04-02-2016 It would be great if someone found a way to regulate it. Additionally, pirates would abuse it. What prevents you from simply moving to a different lane after law enforcement pilots have destroyed your ship? RE: System and engagement ban. - SnakThree - 04-02-2016 Certainly no. I wouldn't mind seeing it lowered to one hour though. RE: System and engagement ban. - Swallow - 04-02-2016 I think that this idea is not reasonable, because, in terms of RP, perfectly, it should actually lead to a ship loss/injuries/death, but we sacrifice this restriction for the sake of gameplay. It also could end up in abusing. I personally think that 4 hour rule was optimal. RE: System and engagement ban. - Epo - 04-02-2016 @Thunderer Hmm... You're right, pirates would still be able to abuse it. Maybe letting people to travel through the system only would be better? Still no more PvP in the same system but they would be able to travel to another one and look for interactions there even after said 5 minutes. @"Protégé" And yes, the ban is dumb and makes literally no sense. As either after 2 hours or more the same player will be still alive. But if it was only for character... people would just rename it and behave like hey it wasnt me, so it's not the solution either. @Snak3 @Swallow Also why not? Making people only able to pass through the system wouldn't be that problematic RE: System and engagement ban. - SnakThree - 04-02-2016 (04-02-2016, 11:52 AM)Epo Wrote: Hmm... People can already leave the system in five minutes. With the idea that they can traverse it, it leaves open for constant trolling in traversing back and forth while hiding behind rules. What about making the leaving period longer? 5minutes sometimes isn't enough if you have to lets say cruise through the whole system, or stay in a big cap which likes to get stuck from time to time. Lets say make it 10mins to let the player leave with ease and no stress? RE: System and engagement ban. - Swallow - 04-02-2016 I am providing my opinion as a roleplayer. RE: System and engagement ban. - SnakThree - 04-02-2016 350/s minimum cruise speed. That's 105k on cruise engines. More than enough to move out of almost any system, even without lanes. No stress already. You are trying to find a problem where there is none. |
