Lawful Bounty - Definition Query - The Savage - 04-05-2016 Bounty Hunters have a line, which states that BHG ID can fulfill the lawful bounty only. The problem is, what is actual definition of "lawful bounty"? A) If based onto target's ID - e.g militaries/police/corporations hostile to contractor cannot be targeted by BHG as they are lawfuls; illegal warships cannot be targeted. B) If based onto contractor's ID - every bounty issued on Individual Bounty cannot be fulfilled; rival corporation can be targeted; BHG cannot help House Intel to the latter's quasi-lawful status; Freelancers cannot be escorted due to their quasi-lawful status. Some green text here would be needed here, because I scrolled forums up and down for actual definition, even asked staff member - with little effect. RE: Lawful Bounty - Definition Query - Lythrilux - 04-05-2016 A lawful bounty is simply a bounty issued by a lawful ID. I.e a bounty issued by Core is a lawful bounty, because Core is a lawful ID. It's not about the individual contracts on the bounty board. If the issuer of the bounty is a lawful faction, then it means the BHG can go for any bounty on that board. RE: Lawful Bounty - Definition Query - The Savage - 04-05-2016 Wait, so you are telling me that Individual Bounties cannot be clamed by BHG ID? If the person who issues the bounty is not of lawful affiliation, then the BHG ID cannot take that bounty. If the individual bounty is of lawful affiliation then the BHG ID can take that bounty. If Erik Nodtviet, Lawful Core ID, puts a bounty on Pirate.Scum then you can take that bounty. If Explosions.Hurt, Unlawful LR ID, puts a bounty on Pirate.Scum then you cannot take that bounty. I don't know about Quasi-Lawful bounties though. I don't think they can take those, as per the ID lines. Individual bounties are usually made in an anonymous manner and without metagaming you cannot say who's the contractor. And that is why I would like Green here. RE: Lawful Bounty - Definition Query - Lythrilux - 04-06-2016 Anonymous bounties are against the bounty hunting rules. I never said about anonymous bounty ooRPly. I said about inRPly anonymous bounty - the bounty issuer does not show his or her ID, or issue bounty via same character but under nickname or fake surname (makes sense inRP). I do not know about that then, and yeah it will probably require a green statement. RE: Lawful Bounty - Definition Query - Hannibal - 04-06-2016 so you are trying to find a loophole in the ID/Rules when someone post an individual bounty without revealing his ID/affiliation(if generic)? How about you just follow your id and ask the issuer for his identity otherwise you do not accept the bounty, even if he would lie you would not be able to fulfill it once you go ingame and scan your target id(do i have to explain why you can't hunt a LN id if that's what you find?) for individual bounties i would suggest to use an FL ID,even so you will be required to follow the ingame laws if you do not want to suffer the consequences ..of not doing it to sum it up...bounty hunting is no easy ![]() RE: Lawful Bounty - Definition Query - The Savage - 04-06-2016 (04-06-2016, 06:31 AM)Hannibal Wrote: so you are trying to find a loophole in the ID/Rules when someone post an individual bounty without revealing his ID/affiliation(if generic)? No. I simply asked what is definition of Lawful Bounty, because there is none in Green. Following that, BHG cannot cooperate with LSF, because they not only cannot be hired by non-lawfuls, but also cannot defend anyone who's not lawful, according to their lines. Freelance traders cannot hire them as well, if we follow the definition of "lawful bounty = being hired by lawful". |
