Even though I am not a fan of an auto-restriction of creativity. I have mixed feelings about this. Regarding the fact that nearly any other RP game has a "fixed-tree" to create your character ingame, predefining what you can do and are allowed to do. we need to have something similar. I suggest the admin team to do a googledoc-form for setting up characters. Seriously nearly any RP game has a proper char creation template ingame.
FL is forced to extend to other sources, but as the forum is directly connected to ingame, I think a creating a template on google might work as well.
Races, factions and such can be predefined. If the "player" can't create his char based on this or is more exotic, he could simply use the SRP forum.
I have created a basic example of this.

I have to admit, I really like the template . For exotic RPs I would force the players to SRP it, as long it is effortable and solid, the admin team can control what is going on overall.
Note: This form is just a very very basic and incomplete example.

This would actually be a pretty useful.
But fyi it's just WILD not WILDE. WILDE are specifically RHEINLANDIC WILD. WILD means ALL WILD.

This would only work if we hacked it into the client and made some form of ingame character creation. A large portion (possibly a majority) of the playerbase does not use the forums at all. They'd likely not bother to try the game out at all if they were forced to register and go through 'paperwork' to play.

Ehm, no, this could be basically just a rule. I mean, whose are looking to do RP here, MUST read the rules, fill in a basic form. Is the most easy part in getting comfy of this game. You wouldn't even need a forum or google account to fill it. Even though I clearly doubt that the majority playing doesn't have a forum account.

Not exactly "this", but something like this, getting into the RP environment might be of sense you could even include talents and all this shit there.

That sounds as unreasonable strain that could potentially kill of any motivation for new players to explore our server.
