Transmission to Agency 404 - LunaticOnTheGrass - 04-22-2016 ![]() 22-04-823 To whom it may concern, It has come to my understanding that you are willing and perhaps capable of abating our current situation within Rheinland. I am Oberst Erich Klugmann, leader of the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee branch of the Bundschuh Party and a member of its Central Committee. My assumption is that your agency represents the Liberty Security Force, but I am genuinely interested in hearing of what we may have to offer one another. I will eagerly await your reply. ![]() RE: Transmission to Agency 404 - Sonja - 04-23-2016 Transmission; Start Identification: Agent Sonja Kerensky Location: Office Red Oscar Encryption: Secure Oberst Erich Klugmann, It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I was hoping for a response to my efforts to contact you, but I couldn't have hoped for a faster reply. I represent Agency 404 which, as you correctly assumed, is currently a small branch of the Liberty Security Force. We exist to enrich the Republic of Liberty's position in all corners of Sirius and thankfully, that includes helping those like yourself whose purpose is to bring reason to a house that is sometimes devoid of it. As you know, the Republic of Liberty and the Federal Republic of Rheinland recently made peace on what seems like pretty fair and even terms. I am not part of the government itself, but I can only conclude that this was due to strategic calculations on both sides concluding that further prosecution of hostilities was likely to lead to the eventual collapse of both houses, albeit for different reasons. Be that as it may, Agency 404 and I view the issue of Rheinland very much as unfinished business. Don't misunderstand, we do not want to resume hostilities again as that would be a rerun of the catastrophe that played out over the last couple of years. Nevertheless, we are uneasy at the prospect of an unchanged and unfriendly Federal government in control of Rheinland. Distrustful neighbours are dangerous ones, and although we are unlikely to go to war again in the short to medium term, it is in nobodies interest that the possibility of further hostilities in the future remains. My understanding of the Bundschuh is that you exist to present an alternative to the arbitrary and dictatorial style of governance offered by the Federal Republic of Rheinland as it currently exists. Further to this, my understanding of the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee is that it seeks to express this alternative approach by means that may not always be seen as politically moderate. It seems to us here at the Agency that the Federal Republic is very much in need of a change of the guard at the Bundestag on New Berlin and that the sooner that change arrives, the better, for everybody. Given the limits placed upon us by the peace between our houses, the main tool that we have to offer you is financial assistance. In terms of men and materiel, we cannot put much on the table to supply you with directly for hopefully obvious reasons, although we are currently exploring the possibility of securing other means to extend untraceable lines of supply into the Federal Republic. The irony is, with the state of peace between Liberty and Rheinland, we are no longer politically free to do as we wish openly and simply. As these options are quite limited at this this time, do you think there exists the possibility we can cooperate towards the eventual aim of replacing and reshaping the Federal Republic of Rheinland into a more reasonable, free and democratic house? I look forwards to hearing your reply. Kind regards, Sonja Kerensky RE: Transmission to Agency 404 - LunaticOnTheGrass - 04-24-2016 ![]() 23-04-823 Agent Kerensky, I am appreciative of your interest in aiding the Bundschuh's cause. Your understanding on the Exiled Party's purpose is fairly close to its actuality; the Bundschuh functions as a sort of "government-in-exile" in which the various sects endorse varying but ultimately similar agendas against the rogue Bundesrepublik. We differ of course from the standing recognized government of Rheinland in that our political parties are in fact also our soldiery and manpower. I lead the Widerstandsarmee, which thanks to our successes throughout Rheinland space has catapulted us to helm much of the Party's enthusiasm. In short, we've led by example. If you were not aware, the current Bundschuh movement is in fact the "second wind" of populist revolutionary sentiment in Rheinland. Our original forefathers actually toppled the former Empire of Rheinland by taking advantage of the fact that the Corporate corruption and autocracy of our nation ran its well-being into the abyss. Opinions within the contemporary Party may differ, but it is my personal and fervent belief that the populist reforms of the Bundesrepublik that we created hardly went far enough. Daumann, Kruger, and what was formerly "Imperial Shipping" were forced to pay substantial reparations to the people and the nation they enslaved, but evidently not enough was done to neuter their greed and ambition. The experiment with a corporate-democratic republic not at all dissimilar to the other Alliance colonies had, in effect, failed after Fifteen short years. Nearly every other political party at the time united against the majority Bundschuh Party and tore it down. It wasn't enough that the Bundschuh of the time had lost their influence; they were branded traitors and exiled into the status that you, Rheinland, and the colonies know us as now. It has become steadily more apparent to me that the Bundesrepublik and Rheinland cannot simply be reformed; more than a century ago our predecessors optimistically believed that the Rheinland-based Megacorps would choose to support and heal a broken state. They paid a terrible price for letting their guard down. When you mention that a "changing of the guard" needs to occur within the Bundestag, I respectfully disagree. The entire Bundestag as an organization needs to be burned to the ground and something new, innovative, and far more respectful of the dignity of human lives and freedoms must be put in effect. What subsequently causes me mild concern when you state that your objective is to enrich House Liberty's position is that my mind then moves towards certain Libertonian Megacorporations enriching themselves at the People of Rheinland's expense. We already know Synth Foods - Which I believe to be headquartered in Liberty - To be a soulless entity that has disenfranchised millions and are quite literally responsible for the formation of what you know as the Landwirtrechtbewegung. While the Bundschuh attempt if at all possible to avoid harming civilian and even corporate assets, it cannot be entirely dismissive of the legitimacy of the LWB's casus belli. If you find our cause just and fair - despite our caveats against allowing anyone or anything to enslave Rheinland's people again - Then I invite you or your representatives to the Bremen system; specifically, the Westerstede Nebula. It isn't easily navigable, but members of the Party should find you easily enough, and we can speak in relative safety and security there on how we may specifically aid one another. ![]() RE: Transmission to Agency 404 - Sonja - 04-26-2016 Transmission; Start Identification: Agent Sonja Kerensky Location: Office Red Oscar Encryption: Secure Oberst Erich Klugmann; Following our discussion in the Luneberg system, I have passed your details on to my resource in the Liberty Rogues, a fiery lady known as Siena Rae. In turn I have asked if she is happy to utilise your bases, and if so, to provide the agreed list of ship identifications to me so I can provide them to you. I will update you on the progress once I have an update myself, although you may or may not receive a transmission from her in the mean time, depending on how she likes to deal. Once ties are established, hopefully you find that taking this step which is a risk to you, will quickly bear fruit for the Bundschuh as a whole. Our aim now is to help you deal with the Munich situation as well as we can, but I am sure we will be able to build on any successes to establish a situation where we can start serious discussion about the material independence of the Bundschuh. The detrimental diplomatic and political ties that were already mentioned during our conversation cannot be cut away until you have a viable economy upon which to rely. Presumably, those are your long term goals. The Agency is also very interested about what happened to the Munich system and the substantial and seemingly coincidental appearance of a large of Guild Core operation at around the same time. As discussed, Dark Matter does not move that fast, does not appear out of nowhere and does not get so easily missed by astrophysicists and observers. If it did, the lanes in Kepler and Galileo would've been obliterated already, but the dark matter storm there is late. On this issue, we will try to find out what we can but I do not expect results from inquiries here, due to the fact that it seems nobody has the faintest idea of how it happened. If there's any issues or opportunities you'd like to discuss, don't hesitate to contact me mister Klugmann. Kind regards, Sonja Kerensky |
