My name is Jack Henderson and I hope this message finds you in good health, and this is not ironic. I have received the mission logs of the Tau IMG patrol that you got into a confrontation with today. Now, out there in space words often lead to rash action and everybody who once was out there knows that a certain dynamic can escalate situations quickly.

The interceptors were expecting you to attack the mining assets. You were likely expecting the interceptors to attack you. You likely believe we are just Gallic lapdogs, and our people assume that Bretonian Privateers stage from Outcast bases, support slavery and Cardamine and behave not much different than common criminals. We both know someone who suffered from the hands of the other side. Someone always says the words: but they are our enemy.

What I want to say is: Things are not always like this, sometimes it's different. The Queen Carina's Privateers (QCP) used to work covertly with the Guild and I dare say it profited and the Guild profited from the cooperation. It was successfully done in the past. It can be done again, if there is a willingness and an understanding who the enemy is.

I'll be direct and point out the red lines: The moment you decide to stage from Cali rock, or assist the Outcasts, every chance of a peaceful co-existence or cooperation is off. It is not a huge secret that Privateers are not picky in choosing their allies and most groups that the Guild encountered, chose Outcast as their friends and the Guild as their enemies. However, some did not.

I want to believe that - in theory - we have a common goal: you want the Gallic occupation forces gone from Bretonia and the Taus. I want the same. We both would prefer our old Taus, even though we both know that this is a romantic thought of an also savage past.

So, I hope you are alright and if you think there is anything to talk, this is a line of communication I would like to keep open. For your own safety, please stay clear of IMG operations in Taus until we could clarify this, because obviously tensions are high at the moment and overreactions can occur fast and result in doors that are slammed shut when - in a perfect world - they should be open. I firmly believe there is enough hate, chaos, destruction and death.
