Deeper Alien Systems - SnakeLancerHaven - 05-01-2016 Now I've seen some of the sectors classified as "Deeper Omicrons" but srsly, can't we like make certain systems realy realy hard on NPCs? I just whitnessed this in Delta with all the Marduks, Cruisers, GBs mixed lvl 16 or 19 NPCs. Now systems like O-99 or 90 aswell as Iota should have NPCs spawn rate aswell as high lvled ones imho. You know why? The feel of expeditionary fleets actually having some sort of Survival in those dangerous zone awakens through that, I suppose some of you played Crossfire Mod and you know once you entered Inner Core, there was only one way back. The NPCs were so horribly dmging your ship and you had to survive with the nanos and batts you got from the beginning until you reach the system on which you can move back to Sirius again. Stuff like the unknown system which "The Shrine" is in, that have high lvl NPCs and make exploring much more fun and farming more exciting, not as easy but rewarding. Now you can just go to O-99 and kill NPCs and jump out with ease, or cloak out. But what if you were trapped in a Sector (aka Deeper Omicrons) which your only way back is 2 - 3 systems away? Hell yeah, discuss. I mean obviously the Dyson Obelisk and such will release soon, so what I propose is make those systems something like this, one way in but hard struggle and survival on the way back. RE: Deeper Alien Systems - Jeremy Hunter - 05-01-2016 No to Omicron 92. That Hive is mostly dead and it's the only decent way to get to Kyoto for the Order. RE: Deeper Alien Systems - TheFreelancer - 05-01-2016 Hmm, Idk, It really depends on what everyone else thinks! RE: Deeper Alien Systems - PKPower - 05-01-2016 I really like the idea of there being certain Omicrons that are so hard to traverse that you basiacally NEED to be in a group, but hold really valuable things to loot or awesome structures to explore. Those should not be key systems that you need to travel through to get somewhere frequently, so they're basically optional. (I know I m digging up an old Thread) So there was this talk about a Nomad Boss NPC and some sorts with Treewyrms stuff. Would this idea be brought to discussion? What do you think? RE: Deeper Alien Systems - Invoker - 07-19-2019 I'd like Disco to have systems specially dedicated for exploration, some of them specially for blind-jumping. And these systems to be impossible to see using online navmap or map editors, because it is true deep space, where no human-habited bases present. Some of them must be sightly, some challenging, some mysterious. Would be great to see this exploration content, when you know there is still something not fully discovered, not charted on maps, not noted in guides. RE: Deeper Alien Systems - evanz - 07-19-2019 And what will you do when you get there, what are you expecting to find? Npc? Players? Would those players in those systems have to do the same? How would they get back? What would their roll be? RE: Deeper Alien Systems - LaWey - 07-19-2019 Quote:How would they get back? Same as current uncharted, by one way hole back, or by suicide. Maybe it possible make systems for blind jumping where some high level NPC with good loot will spawn, or some random stash. But i have no clue how make it non-farmable (maybe by restricting survey and beacon inside it?) All it takes is to lift the system beyond the plane. Pro: One can't use the survey scanner if you add a kill plane. Bad: Setting waypoints will lead to the kill plane because waypoints always lead to y=0 - the only way to deal with that in a better way would be some addon for the survey scanner plugin to prevent the gathering of certain system coordinates. |
