I've heard of your organization's recent formation, even heard a number of our transports and escorts flew together a couple of times- this is good. Maltese unity has been... absent, as of late on the part of a select specific set of individuals.

Given my reputation, I'll assume you know who I am, I was wondering if you could return the favor and tell me of yourself- hopefully quickly. There's work to be done and the sooner we wrap up, the sooner everyone benefits.

Think of this as a new beginning, as well as being the beginning of the end for some.

It is the unfortunate truth that the Maltese unity has been absent, and both of us undoubtedly know the factors involved. Truth to be told, it's one of the reasons I decided to create Vesuvius Brigade.

I'll try to keep this as short as possible: with the beginning of the civil war, which we have our beloved Ghosts and Lance to thank for, I figured the best move would be not to choose sides so I left Malta until everything blew over. By the time I got back, both of the responsible organizations were dead, to put it bluntly. After I spent some time running the family business, I was starting to realize how irrelevant the whole thing is. That's how the idea of working towards establishing a stable Maltese nation was born. You're probably asking yourself why not just let the Cross continue to run everything, and I'm going to be as open about it as possible. I am not even remotely religious, and the thought of such people leading Malta makes me uncomfortable. Don't get me wrong, I do respect the Cross, but sooner or later, something is going to pop up that will require alternative points of view towards certain issues.

The last part of your message intrigues me, and judging by it, I am going to assume that you're not contacting me as a representative of the Cross. Either way, what is it that's on your mind?

You needn't explain your reasoning to me as for your establishment of your organization: believe me the... fervour of a number of my associates wears thin on my patience more often than I'd care to admit. This is partially why I've chosen to contact you.

As to your question, I'm reaching out to you specifically on the behalf of the peoples of the Cross. Something that is often misunderstood about my organization is the exact degree to which we require and demand devotion to the Lights. Put simply: vassal families are sworn to our cause by way of materiel, personnel, and arms alone, and they make up the majority of the Cross's current holdings.

I contact you today on behalf of them, and the behalf of the many of Malta that grow tired of the white-bow wearing fanatics that are being catered do. I stand amongst these people and have been listening to this for long enough now. Malta's people deserve better, and are soon to get better, I plan to see to that. It is usually the job of an Inquisitor to root out such collusion within the Order of Tarxien, but who better to right the wrongs of my organization than the one meant to deliver it's corrupt elements to the Quorum. The difference here is that this time my job is made much easier: everyone I need to "have a chat with" will already be assembled.

In summary: A lot is about to change. I'm looking to you and your people to ensure that we have your allegiance in the coming months. Not only that, I may require direct support from you and yours to assemble everything and everyone. So with the cards now bluntly hurled onto the table, I must ask: do you stand with Cross, or do you stand with the Quorum?

It's about time someone decided to step up and fight for Maltese people. Too long has Malta been run by the misled, religious fanatics. Their ignorance and carelessness will ultimately be the end of them. You'd be wise to steady your tongue on such matters in future: the goal here is abolishment of the sole focus of Tarxien's faith: some who will be working with us on this operation still uphold it vehemently, they just see it less all-encompassing as the Quorum would have everyone believe. Your sentiment however is in the right place.

Now that we're on the same page then, I need to know how capable and ready you and a small number of your associates will be in the coming days; The sooner this operation is undertaken the better. My own Inquisitors are either too loyal or off on assignment, and the most loyal individual I have that I could bring along is presently overseeing a currently underway project- and thus is indisposed.

How prepared are you to walk into a firefight?

I'll make sure to keep your advice in mind. As for our combat readiness, despite the fact that we're small in numbers, most of my pilots have a lot of experience. I'm positive that the both of us know the irrelevance of numbers compared to experience and skill, which is true more often than not. However, I'm still waiting to hear what this entire operation involves and its specifics.

A warrior's skill can only make up for a lack of numbers to a point, hence my inclusion of your lot in all of this.

And as for the operation: I'll keep it simple: An upcoming Quorum assembly has presented me with the opportunity needed. My own assembled teams along with your group will secure the upper spire containing the Quorum's Assembly Hall and the main communications tower, while myself and a select few others enter the meeting. Once this is done, all you and your people need to do is make sure everything stays quiet and that nobody enters that isn't supposed to - worry not about anything else. What happens afterwards if fluid, we'll have to see how things play out.

Know this however: What I plan for within and following this undertaking could just as easily backfire on us as it could succeed. Don't accept this lightly, you risk much for yourself and your fellows by doing so. If I've managed to not scare you off thus far, then contact me on closed channels and begin sending everything and everyone you'll need to the Destroyer Mgarr, low Malta orbit roughly 30 kilometers from Valetta.
