Engagement rules vs nomads - Impyness - 05-04-2016

Mostly looking for a green statement here, I've heard from a few members of infected factions / k'hara that this is generally the case but I can't find an actual statement.

Basically, are factions lacking the needed line in their ID allowed to engage Nomads?

This is mostly for cases where there are factions like the Zoners who are constantly shot at by Nomads as well as others who may not have appropriate lines.

Personally while it would make sense to me considering the Nomads are a threat to nearly all human life, sometimes admin opinions on RP vs ID restrictions tend to vary and I'm unsure if what I've heard is simply leftover from a different time.

It's already the case. I doubt any Nomad/Wild will report you for shooting him on any ID, but you still have to do proper roleplay beforehand.

And if only we could have less "wild on scanners", "infected in system, run everyone", "dont try to fool me wild" and similar lines before the encounter even began.

Engagement rules for Omicron factions in general (and specifically for the event duration) need to be clarified.
A lot of people are walking on really shaky grounds here every single time engagements hapen.
Our current IDs - when taken by the word meaning - are too restrictive to support what is actually happening just now.

Green message please, so the IDs can actually do what is meant to happen.
I think most players want the conflict in Delta and will likely want to keep it on for +1 or +2 weeks.

Therefore all parties in the region need temporary ID clarifications because, let's face it:

> Zoners should atm be able to attack Core
> Core atm should be able to attack Zoners
> Zoners should be able to hunt aliens (they have been blocking DROP very effectively)
> ...

The server event (indirectly) signalled that the conflict is roleplay and that it is "supported", which is really a cool way of doing it.

To give players the security of knowing "I will not get sanctioned for it", green statements are needed that permit the logical acts that are being committed hundreds of times (and that would strictly speaking almost all be violations of ID rules)
