Greetings Deceiver Weisen,
To answer your questions, we had a considerable amount of trouble from a rogue member. Our operation was decimated by our little civil war aboard our home base. The recruits we were receiving were considerably more unstable than my brother and I. It was then that we realized the profit/risk ratio as Slavers was not entirely ideal, from both external and internal forces. We also choose to eliminate the extended leadership, making it a strictly family run operation.
Currently, our area of operations are Sirius wide, however, we call Magellan our home system. We fly under the guise of Freelancers at the moment, but our business comes from smuggling; anything and everything. Refugees and Blood Diamonds out of Rheinland, Black Market Munitions to the Mollys and Outcasts, Cardamine to Liberty space, etc. We will, however, only traffic in “workers” upon receiving a special order from a client. Our tag is “TWS|” and we have been mostly within Liberty and Rheinland space as of late.

I would like to make a few clarifications. It is obvious that you perceive The Woods Syndicate as some form of threat; As my brother has already stated, we are in shambles after our civil war, caused by a rogue leader. Lagos Depot is all that is left, as we also lost virtually all of our available captains and security force in the process. In comparison to the Lane Hacker's considerable force and many bases, we have but one, and it is small and in disrepair. We came to the Lane Hackers in an attempt to maintain business relations. Because of the state that was are currently in, we also do not consider the ownership of a base as a zone of influence, and we also do not publicly claim to have one. Our influence ends at the airlock of Lagos Depot. Many of our business dealings are actually performed on well established, relatively neutral bases, such as Barrier Gate Station, Allentown, Rochester, Beaumont, Freeports, etc.
We also, in no way, shape, or form, attempted to insult you. The presence of a meager, privately owned base, of which there are many across Sirius, shouldn't be a threat to a faction as powerful as the Lane Hackers, especially considering it acts almost solely as a mooring point for the few ships that we have at our disposal. We also did not mean to offend you by claiming a lack of trust, however, considering what was done to us by one of our own leaders, you can probably see how we would have some trust issues. It wasn't meant to be taken offensively, and considering you hold virtually all of the cards, as we are extremely exposed at the moment, we wish to resolve this peacefully and continue with a business arrangement. As James has said, we are willing to work with you and accept your terms.
Please accept our sincerest apologies. We hope to have a prosperous future, and considering that the Lane Hackers were our closest business relationship during our reign as Slavers, we hope it can be that way again.
