Tradelane Offline Time - El Nino - 11-21-2008 Tradelanes are the ideal place for piracy... however you can hardly roleplay when your trader just presses F3 and escapes before you finish your sentance... distrupting them for extended periods of time saves us from that... the question it how long should it go? I'd vote for 90 seconds... long enough for some quality time with your costumer... Tradelane Offline Time - mjolnir - 11-21-2008 60 from me as NPCs disrupting it can be irritating. Tradelane Offline Time - dr lameos - 11-21-2008 is it really 30 seconds right now? I thought it seemed more like 15 right now. Anyhow what with NPCs being a pain, i say keep it as it is, although i can also see why there are calls for it to be longer. (has anyone else noticed that some take longer than others?? - it seems like some take 10, some take 40?) Tradelane Offline Time - GhostFace - 11-21-2008 30 is good at the moment and is fair for pirates as well. Though sometimes when a tradelane shield mysteriously goes up within 5 seconds thats just a bit of a bonus luck. Tradelane Offline Time - hribek - 11-21-2008 All tradelanes take 30 seconds to get back up from the moment you shoot them (you can measure it yourself using the F8 window). It may only appear shorter when you yourself are disrupted. The NPCs (or me, for instance) brought the lane down maybe a dozen seconds before you popped out. But it's still 30 seconds from ring disruption. And yeah, I wouldn't mind if it went to 60seconds. 45 would be fine, too. 30 is just enough time to disrupt the lane ring and cruise to the next while the previous gets back up. It's a close call, anyway. Howgh says the expert. Tradelane Offline Time - Cellulanus - 11-21-2008 How about making it random, like 10-90 seconds? But is this even possible? Tradelane Offline Time - Grumblesaur - 11-21-2008 AS it is, preferably. I can stall a pirate for half a minute by trying to make them offers. Unless they are a Harvester of course, which just gets you nuked. //PvP whores... Tradelane Offline Time - Doom - 11-21-2008 30 sec is more then enough Tradelane Offline Time - Ark - 11-21-2008 30 seconds is fine. Any more and I'd have to rage at how much the NPCs break the lanes. Tradelane Offline Time - Saigo.Watanabe - 11-21-2008 i would say in between 30 and 60. 60 is too long in my opinion and 30 is too short, so id say around the 45 secs mark. |
