Player not Sanctioned: Spirit.of.Fire - Tunicle - 05-08-2016

Spirit.of.Fire has been sanctioned for:

Quote:3.1 An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%. Saying "Engaging" is not sufficient and aggressors are not allowed to destroy a ship before allowing sufficient time to respond. If a player is attacked he has the right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking. Trading nanobots, shieldbatteries or other ammo and equipment during a fight is also considered taking an active role in the engagement.

Consequences: Guns have gone.

Time frame between that RP and opening fire is not enough.

If you post in this sanction and are not directly involved or a leader of the accused person's faction be advised that you are consenting to be subjected to the reprisal of my choice which may involve in game repercussions up to a ban. Blaming members of your immediate family, neighbours, friends, pets, and assorted Orcs, Trolls and any other legendary creatures may result in the use of Admin Right #CTE 750AE

RE: Player Sanctioned: Spirit.of.Fire - Titan* - 05-08-2016

First off all, [HF] made an engagement notice and even a warning about the Razors exactly 55 seconds before I even opened fire.
Secondly, they shot my allied ship, and they expected a return fire from me too, which we can understand from [HF]-Stoneheart's RP.
Third, Crimson-1 Jumped in even before I opened fire, so they had time to realize that there was a cruiser with Razors too.
Fourth, I made a clear engagement notice exactly 10 seconds before I made the first kill. It might made Crimson-1 upset, but there is really no rule violation. Even Crimson-1, said "Moving in" and opened fire too. So how can I judge how much time must pass from my engagement notice to open fire?
And finally, I was in Crimson-1's shoes, and understood her feelings, even said "sorry" to her and she accepted it.

I'm not sure who filed this sanction report but yeah, we engaged it (or more accurately the gunboat he was flying with), not the other way around.

More contextual evidence has appeared and the discussion in light of that means this sanction has been revoked.
