Operational Request to Assist Wartime Casualties

[Transmission Begins]

Hello Admiral.

I understand that this request may not come to you at an opportune time. With the war effort against the Gallic menace taking a rather stressful turn, I can understand if you belay replying to my request for an extended period of time. Nevertheless, I'm sending this transmission to you in the hope that you will understand my intentions.

I've no doubt that you have heard of the growing hostilities within the outer Edge World of Omicron Delta. Indeed, this kind of blunt warfare has caused many aboard my vessel and under my command to become somewhat... antsy, and tensions aboard the Shamrock Bay have become more unstable than ever before.

The request I come to you with is this: I would ask your permission to requisition the Shamrock Bay for non-Liberty associated business. Specifically, I would like to take an extended leave, along with my crew and the ship for two weeks to take supplies to the Zoners of Freeport 11, as well as use our on board medical and engineering teams to repair and aid what and whomever we can. The Bay has never been as combat ready as she has needed to be, and the Royalist forces of Gallia have almost always knocked her out of action for weeks at a time. However, due to our intent and the Bay's on-board repair and medical modules, I believe she will survive the rugged and dangerous environment of the Edge Worlds.

I urge you to review this request, Admiral. The longer we wait, the more lives could be at risk, and the more we could be potentially dooming millions.

With regards,
Commander Hemlock, L.N.S. Shamrock Bay (LSC-387)
