The Cochrane Date (2nd attempt) - Wolfgang Weisen - 05-21-2016 Wolfgang was sitting on a couch on the backside of Cochrane's bar. He didn't choose to go to the main section of the establishment because Cochrane's bar was famous for the female slaves which were serving as well as the shows they offered, usually naked. He expected his companion won't appreciate that sight, but he grinned at the thought on the occassion that she did. As a true Rheinlander, he arrived a few minutes before the meeting. While waiting, he looked at the windows of the bar. The view outside wasn't obscured and revealed a stunning view of Ontario system. He eyes locked at the imagery and noticed a tiny dot slowly moving within the sun's disc. He hesitated for a moment before recalling that was planet Huron, a giant planet yet it seemed so tiny from Cochrane. Wolfgang chuckled at this thought as he considered once again that everything is a matter of perspective. He might be 49 years old but under the right circumstances, his perspectives might be different with Julia than they were with Kurumi Saeki. The Deceiver sighed at the thought of Julia's vulgar pictures and straightened his clothes. He wasn't so obsessed with expensive and luxury clothing as much as his colleagues, but he chose to wear an expensive shirt for this meeting. RE: The Cochrane Date (2nd attempt) - Jack_Henderson - 05-23-2016 Julia was definitely used to running weird erands, meeting strange people both from both ends of the social spectrum, from slimy crooks who did some of the IMG's dirty work, to the similarly slimy businessmen, but a visit to the Lane Hacker base to meet a person who she thinks is one of the top tier in the Hackers... no... that was not something she had done before. Also working as an 'agent' for Mr. Henderson and carrying data and topics to be addressed made her feel slightly uncomfortable. It did not help that she took 4 different shuttles to mask the route before she touched down at the defined meeting point. ____ Walking into the bar, she looks around to get a feeling of the terrain that she stepped into. Dancers, music, a somewhat dark atmosphere, but likely not bad for what she came here for. "I am with Mr. Weisen." she tells one of the servants at the entrace and after a few more moments Julia is approaching the table where Mr. Weisen is watching Ontario space. "Beautiful, isn't it?" she addresses him, even though she knows that he likely couldn't miss her approaching. The clack-clack sound of the stilettos is hard to overhear, and she smiles when he turns around: "... my security crew flew me around a little, making sure we had no tail... it's indeed beautiful." She is wearing a black evening dress, a playful translucent design around the shoulders and arms, not too modern, not too classic, not too overdone. She would sit opposite to him, skipping the introductions for obvious reasons. "Before I forget, Mr. Henderson sends his regards." and she puts the handbag next to her, patting it, signalling that the 'regards' were linked to the handbag or its content. RE: The Cochrane Date (2nd attempt) - Wolfgang Weisen - 05-24-2016 Wolfgang turned his head and attention back his female companion. He let Julia remarks about Jack remain answered as if they didn't matter, as if this meeting was not organized mostly for professional reasons. At the same time, his eyes scanned Julia's body intensely, up and down, before he finished by unconsciously licking his lips. Julia felt a chill going down her spine, sensing that this was a man different than any other she had met before. "Ah Ms Morrow, please forgive me for my manners." He said and stood up kissing Julia's hand before taking his place again. "I trust your travel to Cochrane was uneventful?" RE: The Cochrane Date (2nd attempt) - Jack_Henderson - 05-24-2016 When looking at Julia, she would likely strike him as someone pretty self-confident, just walking into a Lane Hacker bar to meet the guy who she insulted, which triggered a series of events that landed her in a position of an 'agent' of the Guild here. She smiles when he talks about the uneventfulness of the flight and nods: "Indeed. Only my security team seems to be overly nervous, but I trust in being in good company here." she crosses her legs, and leans forwards to the table a little after reaching into the handbag and slides a little data set over the table as if this was the most natural thing in the world. Even tough it is done without any attempt to hide anything, hardly anybody would notice because it just looks as if it was natural that way. "Since we did the business part..." she seems to be eager to get this out of the way, and leaves open the rest. He was the host, she expected him to order food and drinks or at least initiate these kinds of things. Keeping passive, observing more than acting now that she completed her part, she leans back and smiles. RE: The Cochrane Date (2nd attempt) - Wolfgang Weisen - 05-28-2016 "The business part can wait for a few minutes, Ms Morrow." Wolfgang quickly said and took the data set to his side, but on the corner of the table. He then activated a computer hologram which was listing all the available menu of the bar.
Wolfgang browsed a bit before deciding. "What would you like to order? The Blackbeard is by far the best and more rare version of Liberty Ale. It is worth a fortune here in Cochrane." RE: The Cochrane Date (2nd attempt) - Jack_Henderson - 05-28-2016 He might realize in Julia's ambition to deal with the business part quickly that she might not be the most experienced 'agent' that he has ever dealt with, however she didn't really seem nervous or afraid, but more likely eager to fulfill the job or perhaps just trying to be overly professional about it - both again hints at her not being a professional in that line of business. She looks at the hologram, still sometimes looking to the data stick, and then he and the food and drinks on the menue take her mind away from the job that actually already was fulfilled for her after handing over the data chip. "... Uhhh..." she hesitates, biting her lower lip at the sight of these delicious choices: "... Ales... Hmmm... Mmm..." she shakes her head after thinking about it, but is obviously undecided. "... Okay!" she seems to have decided, her brown eyes showing she is happy about her choice: "... Red Horse, just to try it and because the name is awesome... I love horses... aaaaand..." she runs her finger over the hologram, poking her finger through the next one: "... Techie One. No idea what that is, but I will definitely try it!" she tells him and then goes on to the dinner choices: "... Burger, Hispanic Feta double, Onions, Molly Cream, Tomatos and... for the sauce..." she tries to be ultra-serious about it: "Cardamine sauce <trying to stay serious, but she can't fully, her eyes give it away>" She can't help but laugh, and she asks: "No Cardamine in there, is it? ... I'll... have Honey Mustard, of course. Best sauce ever!" she says, but she seems to have a real interest in the Cardamine part. RE: The Cochrane Date (2nd attempt) - Wolfgang Weisen - 05-29-2016 Wolfgang clicked a Hessian Standard to be served to him. Then Julia entered her own choices to the order and asked him about the cardamine sauce. The Deceiver's eyes rolled on the floor and then back to her before responding. The marks on his face could be clearly seen. "Ms Morrow, did you know that for long-term cardamine users, Maltese food is considered to be the most editable? If you did know, then I am sure you can guess the basic substance of every Maltese food." His eyes focused on Julia before he continued. "Oh actually it's about time to get my next dose." He gently revealed a small inhaler from his pocket and placed it on his mouth. He clicked the button of the inhaler at the same when he took a deep breath. Julia noticed how Wolfgang's muscles tensed as soon as the cardamine inserted his body, welcoming an essence that was needed as much as oxygen. Once finished, the white of Wolfgang's eyes was bright red, though this color was slowly fading again. The Hacker looked a bit different than before, he was more comfortable, more calculating. It was over. RE: The Cochrane Date (2nd attempt) - Jack_Henderson - 05-29-2016 Julia was somewhat taken by surprise when he answers her question with utmost seriousness and she looks a little apologetic when he explains to her the link between addiction and food. "... Oh, I did not know that." she answers, somewhat regretting the joke she was trying to make, when she still assumed that this was actually not a Cardamine-spiked sauce. But it was. Moments later things become clear and now she understands why this was serious for the Lane Hacker. "Oh... <surprised> I... have to admit, you surprised me now. I mean... of course I know some inside your group are dependent on the Outcast drug... but I did not expect you..." and she apologizes again: "... what I said was not meant to sound disrespectful." But she can't let go fully, her curiousity drives her on. For a person socialised in the IMG, it was hard to understand why an intelligent man like him would fall for addiction. "... was it an accident? I mean, ... <a little hesitant> your addiction?" she asks him, looking to him with unhidden curiousity. She knew some addicts from the Tau 37 Freeport and the effects of Cardamine inhalation she had also seen before, however this was puzzling, as he was not the typical person she expected to be an addict. RE: The Cochrane Date (2nd attempt) - Wolfgang Weisen - 06-02-2016 As soon as Julia finished her question, a slave quietly served the drinks, Julia's Curacao Burger, and a small silver box before gently leaving. She was a beautiful Libertonian woman in her late twenties, wearing a revealing set of luxury clothing though her eyes seemed distant. Once she left, Wolfgang grinned at Julia's interest about his addiction. He expected she would be disgusted with his addiction, not actively learning for answers. "Curious, are we? Well, I should inform you then that each and every Lane Hacker is addicted to cardamine." He paused for a moment, letting the new knowledge sink in. He then crossed his legs and his eyes were flashing with what he was about to say. To offer. "You are probably asking now why I consume cardamine. You probably have a thousand more questions to make. Secrets which I might have the answer for. You may also be curious with your gift..." Wolfgang said and opened the silver box to Julia's direction, revealing a marvelous necklace enriched with a material that Julia could not identify, though it certainly looked something very precious. "This is the most rare substance in the entire Sirius Sector. It's called Azurite A6. I am offering all those things to such a wonderful woman such as yourself if you agree to satisfy my needs once in a while. I promise it will be a very exciting experience, Julia." Wolfgang said in a way that no woman would mistake that he was asking for sexual favors. Once he finished his offer, Wolfgang instinctively wetted his lips once again. RE: The Cochrane Date (2nd attempt) - Jack_Henderson - 06-07-2016 Julia didn't overlook the distant stare in the eyes of the waitress and she thought for a moment whether she was drugged, too. But the box of course is what takes her interest a lot more, even though she only looks at it for a short moment. Shaking off the thought and looking at her meal, she is taken by surprise by the revelation that all Lane Hackers are addicts to Cardamine. She can't hide her surprise, nor would she try to. "Really?" she just asks, likely sounding naive... "Ehm... ookay..." she comments, again not sounding very agent-like. "Anyway..." she is trying to change the topic and the way he builds her a golden bridge is quite welcomed and she immediately starts walking over this bridge. He opens the box and she sees the necklace, and of course she can't keep her eyes from sparkling when she sees the exquisiteness of the stone. "What... is it?" she asks him immediately, stunned by the beauty, but when he mentions what this stone is made of, he can see her brows furrow and she withdraws her hand, almost like someone who has burnt his fingers - just that there was definitely no heat involved here. "... Azurite... the... dangerous material that was produced when these nomadic floating structures in Bretonia was taken apart by mining ships from all over Bretonia? The..." she asks him, looking rather critical at the beauty now that all of a sudden seemed a lot more dangerous than before, however lost little of its charm - perhaps even gained more attractivity. "... the material that we haulers were informed about... that it was incredibly dangerous, and we had to undergo decontamination procedures for material and ship?" and he would hardly be able to deny it. He would easily gather that she must have been there - in the midst of the madness. However, the surprise is not over yet when he promises her that it could be hers, and she is not sure whether she heard it correctly. Was he really asking her for sexual favours directly after just a few moments of talking and after waving some jewelry under her nose? Could his judgement be that far off? She can't hide her surprised and she asks him back: "... did you just ask me for sexual favours... in return for some knowledge and some jewelry?". Whoever he thinks he is and what aura of power or wealth he might think he exudes - she does not seem interested and her body language, especially the hands that are at the edge of the table, ready to push herself up to walk off might be more than telling. She does not touch food nor drink, taking this directness as a warning that something could be horribly off here. |
