I thought it looked rather amusing

DMR 780s - Zelot - 11-27-2008

looks cute-ish. Reminds me of some ship from starwars. If you are just doing things for fun, wanna make me a Kusari HF for the AFA?

DMR 780s - Thexare - 11-27-2008

Luxury... starflier? the hell?

While I disagree with the term "Luxury Starflier", I do like the idea of altered Civilian ships for the Houses - honestly, even if they were functionally identical. Not sure the black texture fits, Rheinland's a bit more green usually IIRC, but it looks pretty good anyway, and the non-green does help with the "luxury" part at least.

well, here's what, if it was military rheinland green, itwouldnt even be civilian. And no one really want his BMW to use rusty green metal plates.

I personally would buy one of these if I had a civilian characters... im not even sure if weapon system should be integrated.
We should create a npc faction; civilians, and they fly all kind of civ ships... wandering all around the houses.

O__O (I think this tells everything. :P)

That depends entirely on how "civilian" you think the freighters are.

But that's really not a particularly important point, it's a good model.

well - its a starflier with mercedes lights back and front:)- funny how well they fit to the ship though.

about factionized lowbie civi ships - if they were anything more than placeholders for the ships the chars want to fly - it would be a nice idea... but as long as they are "just the ships you start in" - there s no need to make factionized variants of them.... .

I was also referring to the good ones - Griffin, Falcon, and Eagle. And maybe Starblazer, since that actually does get some use.

Well, I'd think it adds a nice ambiance to the game, to see actualy real civilian in the game. All we have now are the peace keepers, the criminals, the corporations, and some miscalleneous (junker, zoner, freelancer)
but, wheres the everyday person? the one that doesnt make his credits doing dogfights or hauling cargo like a trucker, or pirating people? that character doesnt exist.
if prices of commodities and ships are representative, then at the very least -some- people are capable of purchasing a space ships and perform interstellar travels on their own.

I have a list of planned civilian ships, mostly derived from the star series; among other
-Manhattan cab
-Kishiro Motors Sportster
