Unban the players affected by the "Heavy Decision"
We, the concerned playerbase of the Discovery mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer, hereby express great dismay at the unjustified banning of the following members of the community:
@Impyness
@Karst
@Snoopy
@Mephistoles
@Swifty
@Lythrilux
The following link is the thread announcing their ban: "Heavy Decision"
We believe these members, despite any wrongdoings, were not subject to the outlined procedure for Rule 1.0 bans, which may be found at this link: Rule 1.0 Procedure
The players who were banned were not consulted prior to the decision, thereby violating the aforementioned procedure. It is also the opinion of the community that the ban itself is unjustified and represents a wider trend of attempts to silence criticism of the admin team, as these individuals were fairly vocal in that regard. In addition, attempts to silence any discussion related to the banning, regardless of the seriousness or validity of the discussion in question, represent a severe violation of ethics on part of the admin team.
As such, as the Discovery playerbase and lifeblood of the server, we firmly believe it is within the best interests of the community and mod's continued prosperity to unban these six individuals.
