***Transmitting on unsecured channel...***

Good day, gentlemen.

I represent Williams-Mordhauser Distributing - a shipping firm with certain connections throughout House space and the outer worlds. It is our understanding that we've all got certain enemies in common; the Liberty Navy, the Cretans, the Gallians, and so on. It is also our understanding that the Kusari trade routes, both legal and not, currently suffer from a severe drought of activity. Most days one would barely see a single unescorted Samura or Kishiro transport plying the lanes, to say nothing of BD, GC or KNF patrols and interdiction.

My associates and I agree - this smells like opportunity. Fresh routes, no patrols, new contacts to make, and plenty of credits waiting to fall into our wallets. The only thing we need is information. From what we can tell, your civilian population is entirely uninterested in C, and we have already soured our reputation far too much to trade in A.

Our question to you upstanding models of Kusari tradition is this - What do you buy? What do you sell? And most importantly, where?

General Secretary, Williams-Mordhauser Distributing

The Blood Dragons

"Judge in a glance, lament for eternity. "
The Blood Dragon Shogunate

Konbawana, Convair-san. I am Daimyo Madoka Miyafuji of the Blood Dragons, on behalf of the Shogunate.

We are at war, Convair-san. The Blood Dragons and sisters of the Golden Chrysantheum fight day and night for a better Kusari. We are not here to profit over, we are here to bring justice to our home. To see you only find us desirable due to a "lack of activity" and see us as only an easy way to make money is beyond insensitive, it is insulting. Men and women of character far more honorable than anything that shall ever come from Williams-Mordhauser have died so that one day an ancient wrong shall be rightened and Kusari is led by not only a true leader, but a just leader. Not a sham called a Republic, and not by traitors such as Samura.

You call us "upstanding models of Kusari tradition" yet in the same breath you ask where you may earn more money. No, we do not pay anyone who come to us. To earn the right to any of our installations, to earn the honor of being a Friend of the Dragons and earn our "business" you must do more then ask where you can earn money. You ask what we want, but your motives are not for the betterment of Kusari. Your motives are for money and greed, not justice.

Until you realize we are not Liberty, nor Bretonia, nor Rheinland, the Blood Dragons shall not be doing business with those who do not support us - only those that wish to truly help us bring about a better Kusari.

Our minds shall not change, until your heart has changed.

To Whom It May Concern,

The General Secretary took one glance at the previous communique and almost threw it in the garbage.

The Board of Directors could not stop laughing long enough to take it seriously.
Surely, the Daimyo of the Blood Dragons, a modern-day Shogun, could not be so foolish as to not only insult an organization offering to run sorely-needed arms and munitions to his men, but to explicitly turn them down.
Surely, the Daimyo of the Blood Dragons is not above speaking the language of Guns & Money.
Surely, the Daimyo of the Blood Dragons does not think that an army runs on bushido and a handful of rice.

Well, apparently ojou-chan is and does.

The Board of Directors has come to the conclusion that any further interaction with the Blood Dragon Shogunate is entertainment at best, and a waste of time at worst. In the opinion of the Board, our Chief Executive Officer said it best - "Somebody hook a turbine up to Emperor Meiji - you could power a country with all that spinning!". The closest second was "That's not Mount Fuji, that's Oda Nobunaga spinning in his grave!"

Signed,

-Williams-Mordhauser Distributing

Ah, so the gaijin think they have it good, yes? Not only insulting us, but saying we need your arms and munitions? Whatever you, a small group of nobodies who think they are mighty, can offer, will pale in comparison to the assistance of true friends. Not war profiteers.

The decision of the Shogunate stands, as it will for a thousand more years...since you have done little to change our minds, and much to strengthen our resolve.
