Mooring locations - JorgeRyan - 08-05-2016

Hey everybody, I'm thinking of buying a transport to be able to haul more cargo between bases. But I'm not sure if there is a way to tell if a base has mooring points for a transport (or train etc) to dock at without going there in a transport and trying to dock.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Pretty much every base has a mooring point.

Awesome, thanks for the help

You can tell if a planet has a mooring point easily, there will be a vertical 'mooring post' above the standard docking rings, Transports and larger ship use that to go planet side.

As has been mentioned, most if not all Bases will allow large ships to dock, even the tiny ones.

It's those small bases that I'm more worried about, I don't want to fly all the way for a good deal only to find i can't land there. Whereas with planets (and larger bases) it's fairly easy to figure out. Thanks again for the help

When in doubt, fly a ships-hight above any station and dock. It should do that.

You can dock at any neutral or better reputation station or planet that is habitable with any figter and freigter , and at 99 % of them with any big ship .
You can only not land in big ships on couple of specific bases, like Bretonian rebel base on Leeds that is occupied by Galic forces , so it is logical that you can only sneak-in small craft .
